I'm a bit late to the party but the Cosworth Escort is one of these, now , classics that is screaming for modernising. What with turbo technology having progressed so much in 30yrs then putting a modern turbo alongside a quality aftermarket ECU from MaxxECU, Link or Haltech would make this old girl easily keep up with more modern sports cars and be a much more entertaining drive then it ever used to be 😊

Based on looks and nostalgia Yes. based on performance and quality a diesel bmw is quicker than a tuned escort and a nicer place to be plus it’s cheaper to run and own so no not worth it.
