I saw a review video of one of the testers, it looks so good because its a team comprised almost entirely out of artists. However there was a lot of jank in the systems with enemies teleporting/ spinning out of the world, that sort of thing (you could see it a bit with the robot punching the tank and it just flying off 09:44), just an entirely different approach to game development. As it is really a work of art with a lot of love put into it I don't expect it to be released before it is more finished, unlike some AAA games nowadays, but there will probably be a bunch of updates after launch to fix stuff players find. Could also be an open Beta launch with the same goal and result. Just a lot more work to be done before it is in an actually playable state.

I already love the lore ive seen so far and the tone and feel are just up my ally and you can really tell already that the world these guys are shaping is not something that was spawned by some executives trying to cash in on what they think sells. This is the world these guys have always dreamed of making. they truely have a passion for it. nothing looks or feels like the lifeless, copy and paste, asset flip, trend following, heartless, and unoriginal games that have plauged us for what almost a decade now? this game oozes style originality and passion its clearly lovingly handcrafted and i frankly cant wait to see what else is instore. This seems pretty interesting at first blush. Being a pebble in between Goliath factions that don’t give two shits about me? RPing a scav scrounging through the grit and grime? Day/night cycles with different active groups and reactive mobs depending on what I loot? Very cool. I’d pick this up for sure.

All jokes aside, it is built so you can solo or you can rock with your ai buddies offline no problem. All of these playstyles have pros and cons, but the dream was to bring back the OG, not the ones where it's impossible to even carry out the objective if it's only ai or solo" Quote from the dev Q&A. From this we can gather that there will be 3-4 ways to play. 1) Human teams. 2) Solo human with npc companions. 3) Solo. 4) Maybe a mix between 1 and 2, where you don't have full human squad and the rest of the slots are filled with npcs.

@@thelemon5069AI actually is being used in the genocide in Gaza! Israel uses an AI program to figure out when potential fighters will be home with their families, so they can hit them all at once. They also use drones to shoot people in the streets.

I suspect this is probably gonna be more like a world you simply have to exist in, rather than being story-led. Maybe some environmental storytelling, with a light chain of events to follow, but no campaign or whatever.

Fight against them? Yes. Pilot them? Nah. As devs say, you're just a scav here, you're not even part of the conflict. You're an insect, insignificant. And I am more than happy with this pov of the game. Too many power fantasy games these days where you just become god. Too boring. This Forever Winter... hits the spot.

@@KronStaro No it isn't. This is literally a completely different aesthetic. The Mecha we've seen so far aren't anywhere near that advanced, that large, or that sleek. There's far more greebling in the art direction here, and it's far more grounded. Seeing a giant robot doesn't make it armored core anymore than it does Gundam. People really need to expand their knowledge base beyond what is currently popular before making comparisons that don't actually make sense.

Right anyway heavy with establishing the premise for a game we've all wanted.. thinking back to play testing Saints Row and how there was territories you could fight over. What's missing is, like rimworld, a bigger scope where ok the bigger warring factions can't keep everything perpetually embroiled in war so that the game is a perpetual miserable hellscape. What the hell would be the point? Instead if you can keep them at bay you can rebuild and keep building up NPCs in settlements (again rimworld theme) your bigger goal is territorial control. Building you own armies... And settle the entire area/planet. Otherwise again, what's the point?

@@GundamReviver Hardware has just become way too expensive, and most people are running older systems. No matter what game you are trying to make and for what kind of platform, you have to keep this in mind given they need to make money off of this. As someone who only play on PS5 and have done since release, I am very satisfied with the performance. It's so much more bang for the buck and there's been more than enough titles that look awesome on this inexpensive gaming device. I just checked prices on a 4090 gpu and I was quite right. It's complete utter nonsense that just a gpu cost that kind of money.

@@a8f235 You really dont need a 4090, I bought a used 3080ti for 600 (I realize thats still more than a console), but PC gaming doesnt mean you have to get "the best" You can still future proof yourself for a while with the 2nd or 3rd best, and get it for a better deal. On topic though, I think it should be brought to consoles so more people can get their hands on this game and I can play with my friends who do not PC game anymore. I feel like games should be made for PC then ported to console, just makes more sense.

@@BButcher-hg4nr If *_ALL_* games were first made for PC and later ported to consoles, that would kill the console market right on the spot. They are still making games to be working for PS4 which alone is hurting the console market. If all games had to be ported from PC as well and still work for the previous gen console, we would be working backwards, and before you know it people would be playing on Nintendo Gameboy again. So, there's got to be a balance, and in my eyes they should completely stop making games for the last gen consoles the day the new gen is released or you are hurting progress. Then given how many more options are available for PC at any given point in time, as well as the ability to open up to modding, there has to be console exclusives here and there to cater for people who primarily play on consoles. If someone who primarily play on pc just have to have the console exclusive games, then just buy a console given that is inexpensive for what it is no matter what so many claim. It's hard to find more bang for the buck, that's just how it is.

The blast wave from the cannon would definitely hurt that soldier in the second scene. Bothers me ever time that he doesn't react at all from a 20 mm being fired right by his head. The gun recoils a foot ever time it fires.......nit pick but.....

He’s already deaf.. his ears ruptured and been replaced with sensors that cut out sound/vibration above a certain decibel .. he “hears” by vibration. Idk.. just restoring your immersion somewhat

Sounds ambitious - but better on my opinion do not return us to times of Deus Ex, especailly homofreak Horizon FW, Witcher 3x and so on - the best is to build your own game properly polished not just "on heart" but on THREE PRIMAL COLUMNS: the idea, the mechanics (including all game design features), the ending (do not make worthless drama). Wish you success - build the future game properly and future for yourself as developer team, not just a pack of hungry for money...

So what is this game supposed to actually be? Who is the main antagonist of this game: Are the 2 Factions the enemy/employer, are the AI Machines part of either/both Factions, who are the super tall sexy evil anime lookin chicks and is the sole focus game-loop on completing missions, the loot or what is the point of this whole world they built that is the main goal for my character? It "looks" cool but I am not sure what they really intend this to be....

The 2 factions Europa and Eurasia are adversaries in a non stop war, they both possess the similar tech such as mechs. The tall asain Robots are part of Eurasia clean up crew after a battle has ended From what we know the game is focused on us scavenging after they fight each other and avoiding conflict with them since they only have the powerful weapons. We can be contracted to help either faction tho in certain missions. The main objective is to loot and survive.

I really kind of like everything about this game and the way it looks, except for the player character. The player character design is too much of a turtle and isn't animated yet in a way that feels like a person. I think the animation should reflect this, sort of, hyper realism that fits the graphical fidelity of this game.

Моя RTX 2080 Ti не потянет эту игру, поэтому и ждать я ее не буду. Любая игра на Unreal Engine 5 идет лесом, не умеете работать с движком, но все равно беретесь за него. Просто смешно, графика уровня 2011 года на таком мощном движке, какой позор.

Games that I don't expect much from. These games only make good trailers, but the actual games are a mess. I won't be fooled twice.

So... Its an multiplayer game... Shame, i hope it work and gets many players, id love to play just for the mechs, but coop pvp/ full online games are not my cup of tea.
