Carnroe sits on the lower River Bann and is one of the most profilic beats on the river. It has two main fly streams below the weir, the 'Point' and the 'Island' and these are where most of the fish are caught. There is however a lesser well known, or certainly fished, stream called 'The Derry Stream'. Sometimes passed by, but certainly one that should not be forgotten!

That's the beauty of fly fishing, no matter how big it is you feel every bit if the fight, even better with a loop rod! Love my 13"2 8 sx

How did your reel change from just before hooking fish.to fighting fish .to landing fish?

@@AndrewMcGall .perhaps im wrong then .just looked like different reel as hooked fish .then different one whilst playing .and same reel on landing as on hookup .

@@robbiebanks9182 yep same reel but has a red metallic finish and depending on the angle of the light it can look darker/almost black and others times bright red. tight lines Andrew
