Shop jumpscare picture my bad.

Like the original locker ui, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the item shop ui before Season OG and chapter 5 came along. Like the movement for this chapter, it felt like they changed it _solely_ for the sake of changing it. It feels like it takes longer to go through than it usually does.

The main problem seems to be the shared shop between fortnite and lego. They really wanna make a shared shop so they don't have to create other item shops. Ask to yourself why don't you see skins like fastball, wingtip, gumshoe, etc. and you get your answer, those skins don't have lego styles. There's tons of cancelled bundles that were leaked between season OG and chapter 5 with skins that have no lego style.

Not only the shop, but the locker needs to go back to the original UI

100% agree Fortnite shop needs a rework or a revert to how it used to be in my opinion

bro i’m genuinely happy with the battle pass, chapter 5 , fortnite festival, lego fortnite, and rocket racing but respectfully, *whoever* is in charge of item shops this chapter, isn’t doing a good job. cosmetics, in an “ item shop *reset* ” should *NOT* be the same, when the shop RESETS 💀

I feel like certain things should only appear in the shop depending what mode you have selected

I remember that I used to be so excited to log into the game every night to see what was new in the shop. Even back in Chapter 4 (A chapter that I wasn’t really a big fan of) The item shop was one of the things that was consistently good. But ever since Chapter 5 started, I haven’t cared about what’s in the shop all that much. Mostly for the reasons mentioned in this video. Everything is just so cluttered that it’s hard to see everything. Sometimes I outright miss something new in the shop because there are so many tabs and both the car and jam track tabs are so in your face. I also HATE that they are reusing the same shop presets over and over. I used to think that the 30-day rotations were kinda bad, but this is SO MUCH WORSE 😣

I feel like they could totally make the shops less cluttered, and like you’ve said in the past, they could definitely do better with separating the regular skins from the LEGO skins. I noticed that when Cell and Frieza released, a few hours after, they were moved to the bottom of the shop.

The funny thing is is that they started making bundles for every skin with an pickaxe and maybe a glider around 2 seasons ago, and they have already stopped releasing them. We also haven’t gotten an Epic partner bundle since the season started. Honestly made me start to get sick and tired of the LEGO mode.

One issue with the new shops is that Epic either doesn't bring back the bundle when they bring back stuff or they bring back everything but the bundle.

Half the Christmas skins have yet to return… none of the past dragon ball skins returned when frieza and cell came to the item shop… cars and instruments are overpriced… they didn’t even bring back Jack Skellington for Christmas and only returned him at thr beginning of December (I thought Fortnite prioritized dollars?)… the item shop sucks now

The possible reason why these shops have been lackluster are due to Lego Fortnite. The UI doesn't really affect the problem with this shop, It's more with the cosmetics. After the release of Lego Fortnite, FN will obviously promote their skins to show who looks good in Lego. But as we know, many skins aren't ready for Lego Fortnite, so most cosmetics will not reach the itemshop until they get their lego version completed. Meaning, they will not sell all Winterfest Cosmetics like Winterfest Skye (Who returned before Lego FN and never again after), Glimmer and etc, I couldn't be asked to find out which winterfest skin won't release. POINT BEING: They will not release an itemshop skin with an unfinished lego style so they don't show them off as unfinished when the cosmetic is displayed. That's the possible reason I can think of :/

It’s the lego fortnite mode, that’s the main reason why the shops have been so horrible. They haven’t been dropping a single skin that doesn’t have a proper fully modelled lego form It explains why we’ve been getting skins returning after only 15-20 days, it’s because not enough skins have lego forms to sell

I think another reason we aren’t getting unique returning skins is also due to the LEGO mode as almost all the returning skins not just Fortnite flair but the Christmas skins have all had completed LEGO forms and they aren’t returning the skins with unfinished LEGO forms and that’s why we keep getting the same stuff

I think most of the item shop will stay to promote all the game modes for the rest of this month and in January they’ll fix it when they come back from vacation

I think a good idea would be to section off the new game mode stuff in its own lil tab. Like Garage for the rocket racing only. Maybe some sort of music thing for jam tracks and festival cosmetics only. Instead of cramming the locker UI and the item shop.

They are limited to what skins they can add now because of Lego. All the skins without detailed Lego edits don't come back to the shop

I 1000% Agree with you. These Item shops just get more and more depressing every day. Why wont they bring all of the WinterFest items to the shop even the Mogul Masters. Regardless your content is amazing!

I agree I used to look forward to a new rotation of skins in the item shop. I still do, but this month has been has been boring, and I think its for this month hopefully to get new people introduced to skins. Thats why I believe the rotation is dull, so new people constantly see the same skins.

Honestly I believe it’s Lego’s fault and the reason I think it’s that cause the only skins right now in the shop all have Lego versions and they haven’t worked on any of the other winterfest skins yet😔😔

They need to separate the cosmetics to different shops Rocket racing shop And festival

there are definitely more things to worry about but, if you really like a game and their cosmetics and there's no way for you to buy that specific cosmetic because the devs don't intend to release it again, can make anyone upset, almost the same with people who were crying about recon expert coming to the shop again

It's not just the shop, it is the whole ui in general. I get the notifications on my quests and locker bar and every time I try to clear them up, they always stay on random, mainly for harvesting tools, gliders, music packs and wraps. And it was fine during Season OG, but now it is just broken and I can't fix it

You are spot on with this video, the shops are sooooo bad and the Christmas shop was soooo disappointing..I really hope they watch and learn for the future just like they did with movement and other criticism this new season.

It would be really nice if they had a search tab to wear you can type in any previous Fortnite character that was once in the shop and select and buy it. That way all emotes and characters would be readily available to us. I know that’s a LONG shot but would be cool.

I believe the shop is bad currently due to Lego. Every skin that has been in the shop has a fully completed Lego style Fortnite isn’t putting in any unfinished Lego skins

Nick you are right, there is more important stuff to worry about but..... its people that lik fortnite and people out of school and work for the holidays and wanted to enjoy fortnite with everything in order lik a great 👍 item shop and gameplay plus you know its so many kids that got vbucks and we keep seeing the same things. I think the new UI is nice , I agree the old one didn't need to be changed but it isn't bad. I just think they actually need to section it like group things. I mean on the side u can click a Fortnite collabs tab that lowers into ONLY JOHN wick as tmnt and dragon ball are in the shops as collabs too, shouldn't they be there? I also feel like something is messing them up but since they're on break they aren't fixing it

I agree, I believe the shop should change and keep moving at least after a couple of days and the ui isn’t helping

I totally agree. I just want Fortnite to make the item shop more diverse again. Including returning skins that haven't been in the item shop for awhile. Not to mention that some stuff in the item shop has been there for to long, they are taking up room and time.

Not only is the shop barely changing, but they don’t even bring out full sets anymore, not even the corresponding bundle

Idea: Make the shop when you open it (let’s says your on controller) you can press RT or LT to switch witch modes you are looking at to purchase they can group each one as “Battle Royale/Lego” (because you can use both skin styles Lego and normal) and then “rocket racing” and then “festival” that would be perfect

My main problem is that the item shop these days supports Lego variants and collabs (and probably only certain ones since they’ve released Rick and Morty about 4 times this season 😭) exclusively, the Christmas stuff is mad confusing as well since they’ve not released a single winter skin they had in the files, the ui is also super trash and glitchy, the instruments and cars shouldn’t be always in my face especially with those bogus prices and skins which aren’t exactly fan favourites won’t be made into Lego for a while and probably won’t appear for a long time either 😔

As bad as the shops are now, I will still say I would rather have these shops, than the ones we had during the first half of Season OG. At least we these shops, there are many options for new and returning players to pick from. The Season OG shops was just so dry, less options to choose from for everyone, and increased FOMO so much with the 24 hour timer and everything is gone. This is despite getting some insane returns like the Stranger Things stuff and OG Black Widow. I’ll never forget just getting a single vbucks pack in the shop one night. It was truly bad. But the shops prior to Season OG, were way better, Ch4S4 and prior. That’s when the shops last felt normal. Take me back to the shops before Season OG happened.

I think the jam tracks are also a bit overpriced too, in my opinion they should sell it for around 100/200 vbucks. Also I don't like the new locker UI either, the fact that they removed the feature that pressing a button on my keyboard to favourite loading screens, skins etc is weird to me. And I agree with you, they are not the biggest problems but we have to talk about it so that epic will listen to us. (maybe)

We had enough of the Lego premonition shops they need to bring the daily and featured shops back that was the only reason to even tune in and now is gone

Its 100% because of Lego. They are only releasing item shop skin that have completed Lego variants(Except a few collab skins). They don’t want to sell unfinished items like the, in progress Lego skins.

While I do think revamping the ui is necessary and needed for a game to make it feel "next-level" but it's so shotty and soulless now, they just want you to shill out $30 for a guitar or car. The locker + item shop needs a MAJOR overhaul

They need to add 3 item shop sections. One for regular shop, one for cars, one for jam tracks and instruments. All of this is under one item shop part so we can flip through them in one space. Lego shop should only be seen while in the Lego mode, so the skins and whatnot are not directly tied to Lego. This way there would be much less clutter. At the least they should keep everything from moving around randomly.

Yea it’s true if people are giving out about the item shops that is something for epic to change like I’m very disappointed on what the item shops have been like I tweeted to epic asking what happened to the item shops hopefully epic will fix it soon

I completely agree I think epic names to fix these item shops and they need to stop selling stuff that is overpriced

For me I’m blaming the shop being bad on the LEGO mode cuz now it seems like that all of the skins in the shop that are Fortnite original revolve around it cuz Winterfest is almost over and we haven’t seen the new Winterfest skins like Sunspot, Explorer Ageless, or Summitseeker Evie and we haven’t even seen some returning Winterfest skins either that are staples like Snowbell or Glimmer return either as well as Leelah return considering she got a new Christmas style for Winterfest. Also Fortnite is just repeating the same 10 skins it feels like for the shop tabs as most of them have already showed up like 2-3 times already in the month.

So usually... i didnt play this game for a very long time by then, but when the og season came in... i kind of liked the old styled shops, it was good and super chill. ...But then when they changed it beginning of S5 Chapter 1 of its shop UI AND Locker UI... Its horrible. I do not like one single bit and the fact they made it more complicated and sinister.. its nuts. As well as removing its icon for skin rare is gone too and its hard. its hard to find something without a specific color. So hopefully itll be changed sooner or later.

Rick and morty , stranger things eleven, starwars constantly rotated out 1 day then back the next . Tmnt, and new dbz skins were cool but they have a huge library of skins people want and its like they just rotate 20 or so skins over and over again

Yeah it has feel like the shops never changed anymore and on top of that we barely get Christmas stuff for this month in the shops and I don't know why same thing happened in October too we barely got Halloween stuff I don't understand why I think is so weird about shops lately like the shops need to be better

its also the fsct that ive got so many vbucks and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO BUY I'm here waiting for certain skins but they don't come out either because they don't have a Lego form or the same skins come back and I wanted Goku tbh but DBZ came in but with no other DBZ skins which was a let down for me

I remember when Fortnite shops used to only jave a few sections/ rows and yeah sometimes it would have a bunch of sections but it wasn’t often now it happens everyday

They are only selling collabs and skins that are finished for lego. If this theory is correct lucien west(my main) will not come back next week like he is scheduled to. You can check this with other 30 day skins that aren’t finished bc they won’t come back till they are complete.

With how item shops feel to me now is like I can log on today and see the items and be like ok cool that’s that but then log back in a few days later and it feels like they had changed nothing with it and I think the layout needs a complete change and redo the shop entirely such as have BR items at the top then the racing rubbish followed by the music packs and I’m not sure if anyone else gets this but when I scroll down the shop I will see the same item twice, once at the top and again later down the shop or i will take a few hours break and log back in to see the shop has been shuffled around completely and I hate how the shop is presented it feels messy and disorganised (sorry for so much text just had to rant this)

It wouldn't be so bad if they kept the normal daily and featured sections along with all of the mode specific ones. I wonder if they aren't rotating more in because they don't want to sell any with incomplete lego styles?

The easiest thing they could do to fix the item shop is have different item shops for each mode,, for example you go to the item shop and you have 3 options Battle Royal, Festival and Rocket racing

When they changed the item shop at the beginning of OG to look like how it used to in chapter one it was perfect I don’t know why they would change it for a week or so and immediately change it back

We’ve been getting the same few skins and only a limited amount of Christmas skins because they have Lego styles, we will most likely not see any skins return until a future update when they receive Lego styles

At this point we should just be able to search and select a skin from all the item shop skins ever available because who has time to wait years for these cosmetics to possibly come back especially with how bad these shops are managed

Rocket Racing has some issues finally showing, I've hit Elite and its impossible to play now. Its a new problem I thought a gamemode would never have but leavers ruin the winners gains and RR has no cosmetics in the store so the mode is dead to me now.

Just getting into Fortnite this year due to my little cousin. It’s rather fun, the shop is what it is. They drop some hits here & there. We got Jack Skellington, Myers, Eminem, Weeknd, the Ninja Turtles and old Black Widow. I’m sure I’m missing more skins. How much can I really complain? We got got freakin Peter Griffin. They’ve expanded their game, the item shop will get love but it hasn’t been forgotten.

I miss old classic 2018 fortnite , not even fortnite og , im talking about the real og fortnite like season 7 :( it was so simple and good

1. Didn't need to change the locker UI imo. It ran smooth and it worked. 2. Movement change. I'm not upset by it. I do like that they fixed huddling 3. I will never buy anything for the cars in the item shop. While that will be the least game play mode for me. Those prices. Yikes! 4. I think December should be the best item shop month of the year. Bring back items that fans may have missed out from the year. I love that they brought back John Wick, because I missed that skin when it first came out. Just think that December item shops should be 31 days of killer shops 5. There has been so many emotes that we have seen in the leak files that have not been released that are amazing! please release those emotes! 6. I like the game play. I like being able to add weapon attachments. 7. Lego Fortnite is fun! The map is insanely huge! Kind of wish caves had maps inside of them. A mini map would be cool. Also being able to see what direction you're going would be nice. Have to add some sort of movement other than building stairs up high and the using the glider. Glider has been a god send, but would love to see some sort movement added in 2024

I dont think jam tracks should be perm removed (it would kinda suck to lock charts) but i think it should only be available when selecting fortnite festival

We haven’t got the snow day emote back yet for December i am really mad that i cannot spend my money on anything for the past 3 weeks

i was saving bucks for mogul master on christmas just to find out it didn’t come out but they just added the same skins over all of christmas

This new UI has caused more harm than good. New and returning players complaining about it, they made it so tedious to go through your stuff with all the cars, instruments and everything, let alone thinking about buying even more...

I feel as though things should both be cheaper and more of them. out of the entire rl roster only 4 cars from that game being in fortnite is a huge L and I feel more should be there to keep the car side of the item shop feeling fresh. sure we do have 6 total, but both scorpion and diesel come off as fortnite cars first and rl cars second. in rl we also have the whiplash and battle bus.

Do you not see that Fortnite has obviously stopped caring about little things like this anymore? As long as they get their money they dont care. Theyll stay out of big controversy, but they will take what they can get now.

Epic will never escape the problem of cosmetic bloat. There are so many cosmetics in the game that in order to do a full item shop rotation with every cosmetic, they'd have to triple or even quadruple the number of cosmetics that they have on offer at any given time. There's also the issue of new players constantly joining the game, as well as veterans taking extended breaks. This means that these people will always miss out on cosmetics that they really want and will have to wait God knows how long for them to rotate back into the shop. I myself am one of those people.

@italk for some people fortnight shop is sadly, all they have to look forward to, for some, fortnight IS their one and only, outlet. But for the shop to sell the same things over and over again….it gets frustrating

Let’s not forget how annoying it is when the item shop reorders the shop while you’re looking at something. I understand they’re doing it because the shop is so large and they want to encourage players to see everything, but it makes me frustrated and like I’m being rushed to quickly skim through everything to make sure I didn’t miss something I would actually want. If they’re going to keep that feature than it should happen like every hour

They should have just rounded off the old locker and it would have looked better than the current locker

If all seasons were like Season OG, the game would’ve died a long time ago.

they should just put all the fortnite original skins, just excluiding the colab and christmas, halloween, etc skins and make it exclusive, this way the only thing that will be important every day/week will be the new stuff (skins, emotes, etc) i also think the idea of the shop having separated sections of every thing of every game mode, is a great solution because it's less confusing

It seems like, they only put skins in the shop that have “completely finished” Lego styles (other than crossovers or new skins) wich are not too many

What makes the mad about the instruments is that you can’t use them in battle Royale as Pickaxes or Back Blings like ITalk said and they would be so good as pickaxes or back blings especially with the TMNT stuff 😭😭😭

Im going insane the fortnite item shop is making me go insane.. If i dont see a skin which i haven’t seen within a month i will regain my sanity but by the looks of things i think may be keeping my insanity..

All things considering it's not just the item shop it's also the locker like it's so complicated for no reason

They should take this advice from a person that looks at item shop everyday and makes videos everyday about alllll ur item shops . I'll totally would accept this feedback from Italk . I talk is the goat for item shops. I'm hoping today we get goku black and the attack of titan skins and also all.the Christmas skins I'm still waiting for crackshot to come out .
