In my opinion, drones give us freedom, and the government doesn't like us having it. Just look at being a pilot it's always been too damn expensive for the average person. Drones give us an affordable way to fly drones, make it so your average person can experience, and flight and the government would just love to take them away feom us.

Man, you are SO right about the therapy, all by itself! I’m a retired USAF C-5 Instructor Flight Engineer of 17 years of flying big jets. FPV has to be the most unique absorbing thing I’ve ever tried. I’m 68 now, still riding 1300cc Hayabusa’s since 2005! My Avata 2 gets me excited to go to the park and do some direct to my eyeballs fun that FPV is. Nothing like what you’ve done, but it’s helped me be better. Things I talk about in life. Justin your so right about this hobby being therapeutic. I'm with an organization called Wounded Eagles that is using FPV to help veterans with all kinds of mental health issues. I pray they don't take it away for me and the rest of us. Thanks for getting this messsge.

JB had a good point, if your friend enlists in the military, do you just quit being his/her friend, this issue is out of control. Guns were a hobby or used for hunting, now they use them as a weapon in war. Rotor Riot has been awesome, between you and Rotor Riot I have been able to learn FPV. This is coming from a guy who spent 34 years in the military., 3 Wars, 14 surgeries later enjoying retirement building and flying FPV, now people are trying to tarnish that hobby. That's life, where there is money to be made, companies move in that direction, politics aren't going to change that.

RC and designing aircraft is a therapy for me, fighting a terminal condition waiting for my turn for transplant I need it. The dji stuff is what it is, but I have none of there products so it is not a big part of my focus. most my drones are sub 250 and then I have my planes. I am working on a large scale f14 to 3d print and likely glass it over. Thank you for all the content.

Good to know I’m not alone in being super nervous about the future of this hobby. Most of us do this to get a much needed break from the stress of life and losing that would/could be devastating.

It's good to know you are human and not money hungry like some others. FPV took me to a new level of happiness. Coming home from doing eleven years flat in a federal penitentiary to learn to fly and FPV was and is what keeps me from going back or from thinking about how the world changed for the worst in that time period. I thank God there's still good people out here so don't trip because when a guy loves what he does to stay happy he will find a way to keep it that way.😊

If it wasn't for people creating FPV drones Amazon wouldn't have delivery drones ideas. It's always the big corporations that take out the love for someone's HOBBY over lobbying for money. This community is very small and I'm 1 in 3 people that fly FPV in my city of Rome GA. I love this HOBBY and will never quit no matter what Congress says.

Dam that sucks, but I live around a lot of tree, lost in a tree and after a long snowy winter, I found it on the ground, 4 months still flys😊 wind snow, who knows what made it fall out of the tree, so If you don't recover drone, go back and check the ground after a windy storm, you nothing to loose, let us know if you recover the drone.

Lets face it, guys and gals... Because of the war in Ukraine and how our drones are being used with devastating effectiveness vs cost. Additionally, the difficulty alone, that Russia and the Ukrainians have had with effectively combating them has opened everyone's eyes. With the unprecedented division within the US and foreign political and religious tensions, it's just a matter of time before we see them weaponized within our own boarders. This hobby is going away - and soon. So charge those packs and let rip while you can before you're labeled as being a terrorist for even owning one.

I'm new to the hobby so I bring this comment with very little understanding of the hobby, issues, or politics and I acknowledge this. With all this concern with Chinese sourced quads and quad components, have there been anyone in the US that has started to reverse engineer the current tech in quads in order to understand what makes them go and how to make their own versions/improvements and produce American made quads and parts? Also regardless of the ruling on this issue, would it not be a good thing either way? Bring more people into the development and improvement side and help drive the hobby further? Not even just from America but other countries as well. Look at the Automotive industry and how each manufacture from all over continues to push the industry forward. I understand it would be next to impossible to compete on price with the Chinese sourced components due to manufacturing costs being much lower in China than other places. Seems like the quad hobby is largely drive by China, same with the 3D printer industry. I personally would love to see more component/quad manufactures from all over and see everyone's take on things. Again, I'm new to the hobby and don't have a leg to stand on, but it would be cool to see the quad community get together and push it forward regardless of the ruling.

I completely understand FPV being therapeutic. I suffer from a terminal neurological illness called Multiple System Atrophy and flying my drone in an open cornfield around me, but it has become my only therapy. Here just for FUN! Nothing more. Nothing less. Thank you for handling this issue with dignity.

I live in the uk and the weather is always raining and or windy, i often think how great it would be to live in California and have great weather most of the time but with whats going on over there maybe not? But then again the powers that be over here will probably follow the states example. New things are always great in the beginig and as things move on the more rules and regulations and hoops to jump through are put in your way which takes away any sense of freedom or fun, the future will be designated areas with Hi-vis vests and hard hats!

FPV is DEFINITELY therapeutic for me. It's a stress reliever like guitar playing or target shooting or metal art or any of the hobbies I enjoy. I do it for the mental health and just the sheer feeling of freedom and joy it brings. I don't make any money from it (quite the opposite 😮😆). I interact with the community because I love seeing little snippets of the lives of friends far and near. It will be a real shame if ignorant governments take this from us. It all boils down to personal responsibility. These are tools. Let's use them safely and responsibly, just like cars or firearms or chainsaws or whatever. There’s nothing you can do or say to change it. I know someone that has a great plan to actively change this but none of you want to hear it. I just bought my first quad 2 days ago. It hasn't even arrived yet. Feel free to keep boycotting Rotor riot people it just means more stuff in stock for me. I bought from them as they were the only ones with the parts I wanted in stock, if they didn't exist I wouldn't be getting into it as soon as I wanted I would have had to wait weeks or spend more money I don't have.

I skated for 20 years before it got really popular. Then all the No Skateboarding signs went up. Same thing happening with drones, just a shorter time scale.

I've been in the RC world for over 20 years. This so called ban has me a little worried

I started with my orange x star by Autel. Then went to DJI Maverick with fold down legs, then to a mini 2. Then went to RC boats and RC 4x4. I left the drones when the laws started to change, LOS, flying really did it to me. Also gave up my helicopters and planes! Then ID for anything that flyers, I am member of AMA, trust test and registered with FAA, as well as anything over 249G. Now I want another DJI mini 3! Prices are down somewhat, but still what good is my drone when I can't fly it around my neighborhood and see thing from above? I never flew further than 1 mile out back when it was legal, and always flew responsible and followed the FAA rules. I don't want to be political, but the US government is out to bring in full control of the people! AKA COMMUNISM 😢
