In this episode of The Franchise presented by GEHA, the Kansas City Chiefs’ defense of their Super Bowl LVII title rolls on. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs overcome a tough road atmosphere in Minneapolis against the Vikings. Center Creed Humphrey’s family reflects on watching his football career come to fruition. Offensive line coach Andy Heck discusses the strength of the Chiefs’ interior offensive line, which is regarded as one of the best in the NFL. Then, the Chiefs take on their first AFC West divisional opponent of the schedule in a Thursday Night Football matchup against the Denver Broncos. Chiefs legends, guard Will Shields and quarterback Trent Green, compare the 2023 Chiefs' offensive line to their great line from the 2000s. Kansas City beats Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos for their fifth-straight win of the season. Wide receiver and return specialist Dante Hall, known as “The Human Joystick”, is inducted into the Chiefs Ring of Honor and Hall of Fame while his former teammates look back on playing with him. In Week 7, a second-straight week of AFC West clashes, tight end Travis Kelce and the Chiefs play the Los Angeles Chargers. An offensive fireworks show turns into a second half, defensive slugfest and safety Bryan Cook notches his first career interception.

You remember in game 2 last season after Bukner injured his ankle in game 1? Justin Reid missed a fg. So when the Chiefs had another opportunity right before half C Reid put Bukner in for a 50 yd attempt. Bukner, kicking barefooted standing 2 yds away from ball hit it right down the middle. He took 1 step before making contact with the ball. This was the most impressive kick I've seen.

This defense is crazy, we can thank the last 3 drafts and the coaches developing them, also the players putting in the hard work, that is what making this young defense so special, i love this era of chiefs football, not because of the superbowls, its kind of how I wanted this organization to be ran, and spags and his defensive coaching staff has these young fellas playing, i absolutely love watching the franchise its definitely better than hard knocks

Bringing Will Shields on was pretty cool Chiefs. Can't lie, grew up with his son Shavon and played basketball against him and football against Willie Cauley-Stein here in Johnson County. He's a local here in the community and a legend O-Line chiefs player, super humble and nice guy. S/O the editor and organization for throwing him in here. Honestly seeing Trent Green, Dante, and all the other guys on here too it really is a full circle moment being a Chiefs fan. The late 90's early 2000's was so rough that you would just turn the TV off when they played cause of how frustrating it would become... This was an amazing episode, probably my favorite so far.

Dante Hall is the reason I fell in love with football. Watching the Chiefs on Sunday as a kid with my dad, sitting on the edge of our seats, waiting to see what tricks Dante had up his sleeve. More than deserved - Congrats Dante and thank you for giving it all to Chiefs Kingdom.

I took my sister to her first Chiefs game. We were playing the Chargers. First play, they kicked it down field and Dante picked it up and ran it back for the touchdown!!! I wonder what it must be like to go to a Chief's game at Arrowhead for your first time watching this team? It must be a little mind-blowing to see it live if you don't know what to expect. It's always exciting when 15, 87, 10, 95, 32, and 22 are doing their thing, but we are used to it. Now imagine you're Taylor Swift experiencing it. I'm sure it's just as addicting as we know it is, but to have Trav as your boyfriend tearing it up has got to be incredible. It's sad that she's gonna miss the playoffs to go on tour, because she doesn't even know how intense it's gonna get in January and hopefully February. She's gonna be a member of Chief's Kingdom for life following this amazing team.

as a life long chief fan i have to admit when im wrong and i was so far wrong its not even funny. i was the guy saying fire spags two years ago hated him. and now after watching this d grow as a group and how you can tell he loves these players and they would run threw a wall for him man was i wrong so so so wrong. i used to think what a idiot putting a rookie on diggs one on one or i could go on and on with what i thought was wrong little did i know he was playing chess while i was playing with crayons. im sorry spags you will never be doubted by me again thank you for what you have built
