The restaurant has been voted best restaurant in the world multiple times and to this day it is still hard to secure a reservation. Amie and I finally got a chance to visit The French Laundry and celebrate our anniversary and while it is expensive, it was a fantastic meal that we loved. Here is all the information.

When I lived n Napa, I knew friends who paid 1,200.00/PP for a tasting menu, beverages not included.

My wife and I went for our 25th anniversary and I can only say it boarders on a religious experience. Honestly we knew I was going to be great but it was so much more. The service is just spot on and they go that extra mile without you asking. You can’t complain about the cost as it is worth every penny.

It’s magical to eat at the French Laundry! It’s the experience, the ambiance, the hospitality and the food all together that makes it a memorable event in your life! My husband and I went there on our 10th and 30th wedding anniversaries! Cheers to more anniversaries!🥂🍾

First off, Happy Anniversary!!!! I'm so glad you guys had a great experience there. The food looked so good too. I loved going to Napa when my husband and my friends went there for a vacay. Second, thank you for sharing other options b/c IDK if I could spend that much for a dinner experience that is for sure. Maybe next time when we are in Napa we can go to the other place you mentioned. Thank you for sharing your experience with us.

A friend of ours, who has a sophisticated palate, told me that, in his opinion, he honestly thought The French Laundry was mostly show, some good flavors, but after a “meal” there, he was always hungry and would stop at McDonalds on the way home. True story.

I’d love to see more videos like this showcasing restaurants. We travel and are usually staying off the grid, but a big part of our traveling is stopping and eating along the way. Could be a bbq, could be a nice restaurant. We just want to experience the standout places in the area.

Well done video and review, you two...and happy 10th anniversary! This brought back wonderful memories. My husband and I visited the French Laundry a few years ago and everything you said was spot on! It was such an incredible experience, nearly to the point of being "religious" as you mentioned. lol It is pricey, but IMHO so worth it. Congrats!

My son and I were there t’was the most memorable experience we ever had, though the servings are in smaller sizes but oh my Lord everything were sooooo good. It was so pricey but very very tasty beyond imagination.

My husband and I also had the pleasure of dining at the French Laundry back in the 90's , several times, what can I say, the food and presentation is beyond fabulous. I don't know if you ever review places on the east coast but if you do you must try the Inn at Little Washington it gives the French Laundry a run for the money I would have to say the food and presentation there is superb. It's in a tiny town in Virginia called Little Washington it's truly worth the trip. They also have beautiful guest rooms so there is no rush to return to reality. Happy Anniversary.

Great review, glad you enjoyed it. I am planning to take my mom there for her birthday. She is a retired chef with over 40 years of experience. It’s a very difficult to find the restaurant she would enjoy. I hope French Laundry won’t disappoint her.

I agree with your comments and observations. I also felt that the service people moved as a coordinated ensemble when bringing our food. A gastronomic dance, if you will!

How fun! That Neal looked amazing. That’s how I felt in Italy. I went to a Michelin star place in Milan. It was nice and fancy but your continence was above snd beyond. That’s amazing.

I’m so happy for you and the great experience you had dining at a fancy pants restaurant. I remember my first time staying at Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur where European royalty and celebrities stay. The level of hospitality I experienced was incredible. When I returned they remembered who I was and arranged a falconry experience for my birthda then attended the Big Sur Food and Wine Festival at the resort. The best birthday ever.

This is a special & enjoyable video. I love that you make outdoor hiking videos & exploring cities videos. Once- in- a- lifetime restaurants are not something of interest to me. Enjoying nature & the outdoors is. I'm really glad the 2 of you had such a special experience, tho!

One reason is that there was only one entree item available - on that day it was lamb and I don't like lamb one bit. Why didn't I find out what the item of the day was? Because I was invited to the restaurant and had no input as to what was being served than night, Perhaps this single item menus might have been modified (I ate there in the eary 1990's).
