I think that it was Allen Jakovich who said something like "Most supporters are okay - well except for Collingwood supporters- they're just not normal". As a former Collingwood member who watched Jakovich play at Victoria Park on several occasions I thought that was very funny AND true!

Kate, he only played at Vic Park the once, which was 1992, and he towelled Pert pointless. This loss, engineered by maggot John Russo, eventually cost us top spot by the end of that season. I remember well, I was there in the Sherrin stand going bezerk.

I ran up to him after a game at the g, grabbed his arm yelling something like "I love you Jacko, you're the best" he ruffled my hair and goes "good on ya mate, now fuck off". On a side note: Kernahan also told me to piss off another day.

I’m not a Melbourne fan but I just love this guy. Such an entertainer! So modest, too. I loved his playing style and his flamboyance to go with it. Made the game an event!

you're not wrong - Allen Jakovich keeps things pretty low-key, first time I'd seen him interviewed - Molloy and co. couldn't help but constantly interrupt him though - its not like he was struggling either, given a bit of room he was a very engaging story teller. amazing player in his prime.

Too desperate to come over the top of the guest to make a gag; just let the guest tell a story, then add a bit of mayo on top once he's done. Jako's a naturally entertaining guy but couldn't get into stride.
