Your videos are so helpful! You and Dirty Deb are really helping me level up my skills. Don't understand why you don't have way more viewers! You definitely deserve more! I live in Sweden so outdoor skating is definitely over at this point, but I've started to use the living room and the basement for practice. 😂

After thinking it over for years, i just went for it and bought proper skates last week, but the weather's been a miserable drizzle all weekend! My apartment is tiny, but with your indoor tips I am able to still make the best out of it so next time the weather clears up i don't have to start anew, plus it also helps with breaking into my new skates :D I love your positivity and clear explainations, you're really wonderful!

Even without this I am still having fun. Skating is a new hobby for me beacuse my club has just brought out the roller skates and I’ve been trying them out.eventually I’m might get skates and properly start learning.

Hi Katie, I’m loving your videos as someone in their mid fifties and trying to be a teenager again 😂 and never really got the hang of skating back then, I’m finding your tutorials so informative. One thing I’m struggling to get help with is which skates are suitable for a guy who is about 90kg as so many seem to have lighter weight limits. Any suggestions very welcome 😊

Definitely balance and standing comfortably. Then you can move on to moving and very important too, stopping xx

Would you recommend practising this on carpet/grass before a harder surface like concrete/asphalt/tiles/floorboards?

Absolutely. This can really help you gain confidence. You can always try the weight transfer and feeling without your skates too.

These are a custom set up - Risport Dance boot, Roll-Line Dance plate and Roll-Line wheels. A similar beginner set-up would be the Rookie Artistic or the Chaya Melrose Elite.

Ok I have an important question , hopefully someone can help me so... my skates are new had them for like 2 months now , when I practice sometimes I hear a click!, I adjusted my wheels because they were a bit loose, but I still hear the click from time to time, it normally happens when I put more of my weight on one side. Is this normal? Or should I be concerned??

It could be the cushions moving in the cushion cups. You can pop a tiny amount of Vaseline on the cushions to help them slide easier. It should be ok as long as you’re not getting any rattling sounds when you shake the foot.

Hi, I bought roller skates for my daughter and would like to teach her how to skate. But we have posture problems. We are very afraid of falling backwards and therefore we lean forward too much. Do you have a correct posture lesson?

I don't think my feet do this😩 even with skates off, I can do two at the same time but the second they have to do As and Vs moving sideways?? Nahhh 😂

Think of doing little A’s and V’s. They can be nice and compact. I know hip rotation can be troublesome for lots of skaters. 😢 I find yoga helps with flexibility.
