Oh…I have mixed feelings about the black lace. I think the reason why I don’t like it is because the original design drawing was so cute and it never came to be. Would it be too much to wear black lace under garments with it? Something is still off. None the less, you made something to be proud of. 💜

I think you're so wonderfully talented! I love it! I, too, dabble in art but in a different medium. Have for YEARS! The dress is adorable, and I bet it meant even more because it was your Grandmother's. I'm still in my weight-loss journey and am down 135lbs. I so so wish you could make me a dress that makes me feel as beautiful as you do in your creations. Keep going, girlie, you're gonna do great things! 💜

Lace is so delicate and you using the old dress. I'm just amazed that it's not crinkling up or anything. You just did outstanding and at first I didn't like the black with the pink at first glance. But as I kept watching the video I fell in love. So thanks for having your family there inspired Like you feel your grandma wearing that that's just close. I think that's awesome

There is a very fine line in see through dresses between elegant and cheap and not everyone seems to get it. I like the possibilities of the pink/black combination, I do not like the dress, its a pity you did not reuse also the lining of the original dress. I thought however the blue dress you showed on camera for inspiration to be lovely and very original, love the sleeves of that one and the longer skirt.

You look wonderful! Art historian here: Firstly I loved the Up cycle idea. You did an excellent job on the patterns, and the darts A+ for creativity and the will power to finish the job despite set backs! Here are some pointers I would try next time. Try going short sleeves or go sleeveless and pair with a light kimono maybe you can use that idea next time. Secondly, next time in the future if you do projects like this again try to take (for example in this case) the long darker pink skirt part of the dress that came with the lace and turn it into a slip for the dress underneath or make separates that could be worn under the dress. I will admit that maybe more time consuming but it might have solved the issue of the boringness you were feeling from the dress. It would have given the pop of color you needed while making you stand out in that shape of the lace over dress. Or If in a pinch try to pair a jewel toned pink lace with the pastel color next time if you do not want to use black.

I totally guessed 24 or 25. No one believes me when I tell them my age. I'll be 39 this year, and people think I'm in my mid 20's and I freaking love it!! I LOVE pink and black together. They're two of my favtiore colors. Along with purple and red.

I had a dream last night that I got to meet her and we spent all day together, first I met her cat then I saw some of her latest projects then I made some Pom poms for one of her projects then we went to Joanne fabrics and got some fabrics and ribbons then we had lunch Cody thought me how to make perler bead earrings, then we went to lunch and I showed her a pillow case that I crocheted for a smaller pillow and I wish it was real life

Actually, I liked the way the dress was before you cut into it… I would have tailored it to my size. I guess I find conservative looks more classy and expensive, rather than something you would buy at a cheap Hustler store. Glad you love it!

I think it would look better with the pink lining,the black would stand out more and look more defined, with the black underwear the lace draws attention to the underwear and loses the contrast. If you could make a pink slip dress out of the lining it could be also worn on it's own, under this dress or with other sheer dresses. I also think a pink or white bodysuit underneath would look cute.

I love black and pink color combinations but the design isn't hitting for me, personally. I think some solid material needed to be involved to balance out the lace. Just my opinion. If you like it that's what matters.
