Rafter rise and hip run gives you the bevels for the Hips.

Love the feeder, does anyone have any measurements for the different pieces of wood, sides, length, etc... ?

What angle did you cut the roof pieces?
@geofflucas14826 ай бұрын
That formula gives you the hip length also just set it out on apiece of ply.

Hello, I want to know the angles for the upper part
@ChristopherEggleton19752 жыл бұрын
without knowing angles you can buy a rafter square and work out approx how tall you would like your roof in relation to the radius and that gives you a roofing ratio usually something like "?/12" 1/12 being very shallow going up to 12/12 being 45 degrees and then even more steep with the steepest on a rafter square being 30/12. A pitch of around 7/12 (30.26 degrees) is similar if not the same as this. I guess if you don't have a rafter square just round the angles to 30 and 60, which is pretty coincidental for a project like this as almost every other cut is 30 degrees :D. I hope this helps.

While it's a nice bird feeder an a good general overview of your project, you give little detail on many of the "particulars" of the project.

In India Hindu religion. It is normal and part of ritual to feed Birds,cows, dogs etc animals daily. Our God use to these animals as their vehicle. Lorad SHIV = BULLOCK Goddess LAXMI, Godess of wealth use owl Loard GANESH= use Mouse. Loard VISHNU,the god of nurching and prevention use Egal. Lord kartik use peacock. . So all animals are respectful. Not to heart any creatures.

Nice bird table, but those plain Plexiglass windows is a terrible idea, the birds will injure themselves when they smash in to them, the original leaded style window would have been much better.
