Never... you misunderstand what is said & what Torah says. Rabbi isn't insinuating that we instill fear by having a sinful haughty attitude, but instilling respect by being confident of God & that we're seeking to walk with Him better & better day by day. Still, they may or may not respect God, but at least we're not walking around in confusion &/or lack of confidence in God. If we live right, with a godly king and don't fear that some people don't understand Godly Torah governance, our lives will be somewhat more right than they are now, and eventually into the 7th millennium when it will be decidedly better than now. We'll always have an opposer; God will see to it, and it both humbles & strengthens us. Micah 5 says Israel will be a lion among the nations. BUT, I think BOTH are important: both to live Torah with a king, plus with PR. And our PR mustn't be weak and defensive, but offensive, if you know what I mean i.e. we don't need to defend our right to defend ourselves in a defensive, apologetic kind of way! We need to shame the antisemitic in different ways, depending on the person, and God knows each person's needs... what will trigger a response which God desires from them, or even if they will respond positively or negatively; if we should just ignore them or if we should talk with them? The main thing is not to fear! To see them as someone who can change, someone who is ill-informed, or someone who never will change & will remain illogical. God may still have us speak... just as Mosheh spoke to Pharaoh! Mosheh-rabbeinu's leadership was kingship plus PR in a sense.

I am a pro-Israel non-Jew. I find Hasbara whiny and annoying. Why do you sound so guilty? Maybe the nazis are right? Much more persuasive is to crush your enemy. Do you think Arab civilians would tolerate a government that used them as human shields if it was guaranteed they would just be bombed by Israel? Of course not.
