Modern gaming has had some highs with the likes of Elden Ring, Baulders Gate 3, and for me Jedi Survivor but also had some lows with the likes of Forspoken, Halo Infinite, and Gollum. Over the last decade, we’ve seen the giants in the industry battle it out until only one was left standing with any dignity. Xbox’s last resort has been game pass, which has led to them buying out as many companies as possible such as Bethesda and Activition. They want to give themselves a chance for the future and with that they could be looking down the barrel of dumping even more money into companies like Nintendo and Steam. However even with the issues around xbox and the gaming space in general right now with bad releases, overhyping products, $70 price tags, and making 10s of thousands redundant, we have some form of light for the next few years. So today I wanted to take you on a journey, one that talks about the amazing state that is the current future of gaming or at least the releases that are in the works which could set up this year and especially 2025 to be some of the best years in gaming that we’ve seen in a long time. @Schmoodie we werent back in the heyday of the 2000's. Things kept getting better and better. It wasnt until no mans sky, fall out 76, and starfield that we started becoming jaded and cynical.

Avowed is first and third person, but personally I enjoy being able to see the character, but when navigating interiors first person is always nice to have.

Games *LOOK* amazing because that’s how the marketing department wants the potential customers to feel. I worked in the industry for 5+ years, and how the sausage is made would make your stomach turn. Please support smaller studios instead of AAA. Customers and developers will be much happier that way.

First, cause text is hard to convey tone through, I'm not trying to fight or anything. I care deeply about this industry and agree that praises should be sung! I just noticed a pattern that troubles me slightly. I'll admit that I'm not a returning fan, and this is my first exposure to your channel so I have a limited view of your perspective. Taking a brief look, it seems AAA is your focus and singing praises about it/debunking "games being dead" is a recent thread you've been chasing which I find noble! Games won't ever "die", they'll just change. From my experience, AAA has turned how they look at creating games into a money & engagement mill. Games used to be distributed by developers through shareware, and IMO that was a time when games where allowed to be a full creativity-driven medium. I feel that AAA is after your money, and they'll uses every dirty trick in the book to get it (not speculation, fact. Look into how they use psych studies to farm engagement and destroy your mental health/desire to go elsewhere). Please please please "vote" with your wallets and your time. If you don't like what a company does, don't play their games full-stop. I'd be curious to see you make a video on Indie studios that are doing what you think AAA Studios should do!

I’m very very hopeful. The Xbox showcase was spectacular, we’re finally at a point where we can SEE how close tes6. Starfield kinda flopped, but it has some huge updates and a dlc coming every year. The elden ring dlc just came out and it’s amazing… Avowed, fable, gta6, Indiana jones, I’m very hopeful for this year…

Yeah man thats right some great games are indeed on the works and it is nice to see some optimism and positivity for a change. In my knowledge good games are coming from both indie and AAA developers, what I am most excited for are Path of Exile 2, 1.0 for Hades 2, Titan Quest 2, Doom Dark Ages and Dragon Age 4.

Great video The new fable cutscense look amazing. I laughed at Not playing Kingdom Come Deliverance because of your mousepad? 😂 I couldnt get into becuase its slow, difficult and not what I'm looking for in a game when I have the time to play. I have to be in the right mood/ frame of mind to get into it. Great game still.

I am currently playing catch up on Nintendo switch exclusive titles I just didn't play. Sonic x shadow generations in October, new zelda in September, I get to experience lollipop chainsaw for the first time in September, new mario and luigi in November. 2025, my most anticipated games: Doom The Dark Ages and Metroid Prime 4 will be releasing. So yes, personally speaking, I think the next 2 years are going to be a good time for games.

2024 really is new renaissance, since 2010ish there been only 1 decent game wz2020 but we got helldivers and now that space marines 2 looks great, dune looks interesting even cod with bo6 feature upgrade and starcitizen almost cooked

*i believe Free 2 Play games are the obvious future. an F2P game is basically a supported demo with micro transactions....and its fair because if your game is Good, people will invest money into it.....but if its not, the developers will take the loss for putting out a mediocre game nobody wants to support 🌈🙌 this is what gaming should have been from day 1* 👌

Spider-Man games are good, they’re nowhere close to systems found in games like Web of Shadows but that doesn’t mean they’re bad. Wrestling has been the same shit every year, same as FIFA, same as 2K. Most of your enjoyment comes from the fact that it was a new experience when you were younger, the older you get the more you realize it’s mostly the same shit. Add to the fact that developing games with today’s graphical fidelity takes a lot longer than how it used to back in the PS2 days, 1 year and 20 devs isn’t enough anymore. COD has been yearly for 2 decades now, and the quality has varied but they do come out with bangers every now and then. There’s just more media press to shove in your face these days that tell you how shit things are and it gets stuck in your mind rather going about your day. And back then, you might’ve not even played every single release. Ubisoft. Yeah you’re never getting early 2000s era Ubisoft back. CDPR mishandled Cyberpunk 100%, I saw how they might fuck it up from a mile away because the game was literally a different genre than what they’ve made in the past, but everyone got caught up in the hype. The game’s combat, mechanics, world design, and interactivity was a complete 180 from the preset combat animations, basic magic, open fields, and barely interactable NPCs that they’ve been making and refining since Witcher 1. Skate 4 is coming. There’s a new skateboarding game made by the OG THPS devs from Neversoft called “Wrekless” Need for Speed had a release a couple years ago, it was good, did you buy it? It was called Unbound. These franchises barely show because they don’t sell as well as they used to.
