I feel like the concept of Sunny and Violet finding the crystal with it just coincidentally conveniently falling out of a very old locker that has never opened before but opens now is something that would work better in Monster High's lore as the school's design and history is built for that kind of mystery surprise to happen. However, with Rainbow High, it just seems out of place and doesn't transition well with the story but seems more to be shoved in to introduce a future toyline. Also, the best way I could see this working with Shadow High's lore is by introducing the series 3 character Scarlet Rose whose focus happens to be Creative Writing which will introduce the world of *Storywood* which is Scarlet's best selling fictional book but unknown to Scarlet and the Rainbow high girls, it is actually a real place that is home to fairies and these slime pets which sets the stage to introduce Storywood to the Rainbow High world with a short Ever After High-like adventure in the realm of Storywood thus kicking off the Storywood tale in some way.

I would LOVE if they actually introduced Storywood as a Narnia-like offshoot of Rainbow High, even if it had to be populated by these weird Littlest Pet Shop rip off animals.

Like many others I LOVED majority of the episode, having time with the core girls again felt great, seeing them all in their second outfits and Amaya in her series 2 outfit was great as well. My worries came in the second the words ‘rainbow surprise’ came out of Sunny’s mouth, I’m hoping that MGA realise they will lose a major portion of buyers (their adult collectors) if they make the slime a major factor in the dolls so here’s hoping it’s a one off line like Pacific Coast was EDIT: I also love the call back to a previous episode with the RH crest pin in Vi’s locker, super cute detail

Adults make up the smaller portion of Rainbow High's audience. Kids will always be the major portion and the ones MGA needs to market to, to keep RH a thing.

I really was thinking rainbow high would be mostly realistic. But nevermind, they added magic. Seems like all kids shows are magical now and not many that are more realistic.

Kids shows have always been magical so why are you acting like kids wanna watch something boring that talks about real life, no kid wants to watch that, that's why kids like shows like anime that have that unrealistic factor or why they play games with fantasy elements because they don't want realism

@@riddlerosehearts8277 They don't always have magic and whatever. They don't need magic. It's nice to see something different for once. Saved By The Bell didn't have magic, it didn't need to. Doesn't make it boring to not have magic, just need good story and characters. Kids should have more realistic stories. I always loved the fantasy stories but it's also good to see more realistic stories. Who said they don't want more realistic stories? They need something more reliable. I wish I had more realistic stories as a kid.

People my age grew up with Babysitter's Club, Boy Meets World, Gullah Gullah Island, and countless other tv shows aimed at kids and based in realism, and there are plenty out there now that have the same values. Sure, they might not be 100% realistic, there is always over the top shenanigans and melodrama, but shows like that have been hugely successful. It's healthy to have a balance of fantastical and more reality-based media for kids to consume, that way they can grow up with a good understanding of reality vs fiction. Rainbow High could have done a lot for communicating what actual art schools are like for kids who want to aim for that, but instead it's always been loosely inspired by the idea of art school, and now there's random magic happening? It just seems confusing. The target audience for sparkly slime pets is way younger than the line was previously aiming for and probably too young for the degree of tiny parts and delicate fabrics used in the dolls. It's just a little weird as a marketing decision. I'm glad you seem to be excited for it though, and I sincerely hope it finds it's audience.

@@SquishyMainBro but kids don't care about realism in the stuff they want to watch something to escape reality, why would they want to watch reality, reality is shit & boring no kid wants that & Ik when you were a kid you probably sat & watched shows like Sailor Moon or Winx Club & they're not realistic in the slightest hell MH isn't realistic yet adults & children like it for that, I'm sorry but I would NOT want to live in a world where every damn TV show/movie or game was realistic because I would be bored af, I play games that are fantasy to escape reality, same with animes, I watch them to get away from the shit world we're living in, if you want to watch a show that babbles on about politics, real crimes etc than I'm sorry but these kids shows just aren't for you then again it's quite laughable that you're moaning about a kids show not being realistic yet you watch MLP which is so unrealistic in every sense of the word

If you need magic to make a story interesting then maybe you are just not good at making it interesting. Shows being realistic isn't boring.

I think the only reason it was so out of place was because it was executed poorly into the episode. To be honest its not such a bad idea especially for a kids show to add something like, but if you know your series doesnt necessarily go for a magical sort of vibe or theme, to set the tone right, them unlocking a whole magical pet shouldve been its OWN episode, and their reactions I guess should have been more shocked and suprised, since it wasnt that way though it just seems kind of random and its just not sitting right. I still find it absolutely adorable though.

I think a more graceful way to add poopsie slimes would be to not make it this weird fantasy thing. Maybe they could take a leaf out of My Scene and have all of the girls do a runway event where they model with pets. Maybe they could adopt pets, imagine Jade finally getting her pet tarantula and MGA having to make that lol. And then they can make slime for the poopsie part. I think that would be fun and keep with the tone of the show.

I was so blown away seeing a new rainbow high episode cause I really thought season 4 was over, but I guess not. And it feels so different since this isn't project rainbow anymore, we're back in school with our OG girls, ONLY our OG girls, no other characters (besides Kia and some girls in the background) were in this episode. This episode felt so weird cause there's not really an overarching story, it's just the OG girls doing activities on their staycation day. We see them in pairs, but why in the world would they NOT put jade & Bella together? Wouldn't that have made more sense? And after 15 minutes of really nothing, sunny just happens to find this egg that randomly falls out of this locker? Who locker was it and where do that egg come from? So many questions. And then the egg hatch, a pet emerge and I guess that's the beginning of something new. Should have just been a new season since it feels so different from the rest of the season 4 episodes. Really strange

I think it's also fair to me that Bella and Jade are not together, I don't say this with the desire to offend, I like the ship but I'm glad that there are other relationships like Skyler with Jade, Poppy with Amaya and Ruby with Bella. It was time for everyone to get to know each other as friends because we haven't had that much. I hope there is more of Jella in the future but I think it's also fairer and more pleasant for different OG characters to get to know each other in ways or combinations that we never thought of. What could we happen? Like Bella and Amaya who finally surprisingly talking each other for the first time!

@@jonathanf2392 Well, the truth is I also would have liked Violet and Sunny to go meet and hang with different characters from the OG, even so I don't understand what's strange, they are all friends so it's good to see how they interact in different ways than what we always think is established. At least I would have liked to see more of Bella and Amaya because MGA was able to do very interesting things with them after season 1 but at least I am satisfied. I think what is most worrying are the pets and the magic, there it felt very commercial and I feel that they are losing essence or the good that was left 🤷‍♀️

The animators in charge of making the desserts did an amazing job, they look so real! Confirmed Magic in this world at last XD This was a pretty nice and relaxing episode, when I'm on staycations I just sleep in and binge videos or play games and I am super content.

Magic!?!? I knew rainbow high wasn't 100% realistic because there is artificial color people and hair, but... magic animals? That's a little too weird, especially when the world they have stablish feels like the real world but with a touch of fantasy in colors and fashion. Obviously, I knew we were going to have those creatures but I always though they were going to be animated characters that sunny did and one of the girls make a plush.

The thing is some of the characters have their eyebrows in their original hair color which you would already know they dyed their hair like amaya, how she changed her hair to white to blue

The animal is cute but I don’t think it should be in the Rainbow High because it looks really out of place it just looks unnatural next to the Sunny and Violet and it just kinda saddens me that this might be the down fall of rainbow high as a brand and with the new doll that where leaked it just gives me G2 of monster high vibes for me with the random gimmicks

Let me guess- Everyone else in their friend group finds one randomly around the school in their specific color (it kinda makes sense with the true color quiz) they hatch them and now they have new pets or whatever. i dont mind the fantasy element in Rainbow High at all bc honestly i felt like there was some form of magic in their world but i wish we couldve just gotten a core refresh to series 1 and include the pets bc series 1 needs the most work in terms of redesign. Maybe the slime dolls will be a side line and they’ll make a new wave of series 1 dolls with ne outfits

Oh, dear...where to start? First off, I was surprised to see a new episode today. Second, I actually like the first 2/3 of this episode. It feels almost like seasons 1 and 2, and it's interesting to see the mix up of the main characters bonding. Rather than Jade and Bella, we got Jade and Skylar. And yes, I like seeing Bella and Amaya actually interacting! But then...we got to Violet and Sunny. Their problem with Violet's missing phone felt bland compared to the others...and then they shoehorned that crystal egg. I get that some things in this series don't make much sense, like the Shadow High students' natural skin colors, but honestly, the introduction of magic with the crystal egg felt contrived. This episode gave me a whiplash. I went from liking this episode to sudden fear and trepidation for the future of Rainbow High.

Actually its not so out of place that they added rainbow suprise to this, i mean this is a kids show and it doesnt look so out of place. HOWEVER I do think it could have been excuted more better, because it kinda just seemed out of nowhere but besides that to me this wasnt a big deal. I was suprised and thought it was cute.

Thank God I'm not the only weird one who loved Bella and Amaya to talk to each other, they are my favorite characters and since when did they want them to talk! It is very pleasing to see this at least only those moments because this already feels very commercial than a series unfortunately.

I loved the 20 minute episode. And to see the main girls again, but i'm so scared for what will happen to Rainbow High now. I liked how the show and the brand as a whole was about art and creativity, without magic and pets or whatever.

You guys remember in the first season where there was a hallway that had a keep out on it and it was all dark and mysterious. If Violet and Sunny went into the hallway on an adventure and then found the crystals or whatever that would have been a better way to introduce these pets

I was thinking how to make it more realistic and when they talked about the egg parent experiment at junior high, i wondered why they did use those pets instead. They could be something like robots which the students have to add a gimmick or something to the end of the project.

I’m going to get the dolls only for custom characters and keep the pets the other things I’ll get rid of. I think they will keep these up till December.

The episode was fine, until they showed that crystal. Everything went downhill after that. PS: I would like to add that I can see Sunny and Luna watching true-crime documentaries together

You know what. I had slime with worms in it. When I was a kid. It was in a little cup with a lid. And the kids in my block went nuts for it. Great momory!!😄😻🥤

I think its a great step into rainbow high the beginning was nice , pacific coast, musical,and runway were everything and as most say realistic but honestly after rewatching them I was actually bored of that this could open so many doors including new lines like royal rainbowhigh , tokyo rainbow high , a genie , fairy , mermaid , lines as well as new movies guys I feel that this would actually take off more

the description of these pets were perfect. Fr I do not want to see the people especially lou wright playing with their pets throw up/poop slime cause it will be disgusting especially if they do not wash their hands PS: this was probABLY THE LAST EPISODE of season 4 and next friday will probably be the start of season 5 of rainbow high

Me personally I am also scared for Rainbow High’s future. To start the part where the found the crystal was not the best idea. I understand it’s kinda part of the poopsie doll line and that’s kinda how RH started but it’s a normal day and that happens. I don’t think magic is needed in the show. Next the new shadow high dolls I got all of them I love them but I do think they are a tad over priced. They come with not many things and half of the box inside is nothing. I love rainbow high and I always will but I am scared for the future of the dolls and series.

I,m an adult doll collector. But I don't want to think that the doll are for just me. Toys are made for children. Just like Christmas is made for children So any changes made i,m not against. But I still love Poppy. And want her to stay with RH.

I'm not sure I'll like the magical pets being introduced. It seems weird. This show has always been about fashion, art, and creativity. I think the pets would have been acceptable if they were digital or stuffed animals.

By all honesty, i hope Shadow high and the rest of the schools, pacific coast even, are not dragged in into this pet thing.. I don't really like this episode incoming, im not a fan, because its probably wasted potential.. I was like hoping like a regular episode with no competition but includes shadow high characters, have you SEEN transformers? Its quiet like that, there are episodes seeing opposite teams to see what their doing, Shadow high Series THREE is waiting, maybe they could be added into the show or not, bc i don't want pacific coast and shadow high dead likes frs, they seem so fun to add them in, RH can do so much more than just getting money and a much younger audience, their basically like a Family friendly version of Bratz, but NOOO they added the pets and magic in- but we'll never know..

I mean, the series is about friendship, in one way or another it is better that everyone knows each other, I know that many love Jella (also me) but we also have to give them a break, they are getting to know each other better and we already didn't see the OGs, getting to know each other little by little they make a good friendship and I don't understand the unjustified hatred of Amaya.

I just hated that V and Sunny started to act childish ( Sunny waaay more than before ) when Eggy-Boo hatched . . . Are they going to do a surprise release for the Holidays ? Is it going to be rushed ? For me, it ia going to . I'm excited buuut 🥺 For me it's going to be a Sunny's fantasy or something like that, i wish !

Honestly I think it makes sense for them to act this way a little bit because they are teenagers and this is meant to be a show for kids. I'm thinking there's a change they want to tap into the kid audience more than the adult audience because they want more kids to get rainbow high dolls. I'm might be the odd ball 1% that actually likes the change. But I also thing peachy and others aren't wrong with their concerns
