It's not ads I'm worried about it's how invasive they are people like KZfaq need to dismiss ads on music sessions I will only disable my adblock if their algorithm can do that much Adblock is more of a security thing for me if they don't support it I will switch to Mozilla I've been having second thoughts.

While I do feel an abstract longing for this sort of liminal aesthetic, having the equivalent of Rollercoaster Tycoon grass flat lands everywhere would not be good for biodiversity.

The Frutiger Aero Future that we were promised happened... in another timeline 😢. All that was left for us are those nostalgic fragments. Someone, somewhere, is running on those vast and green fields that smell like mint with water bubbles and flying fish everywhere. I hope i can visit this timeline someday.

People who were born later will always see the past as better because they feel like their present is horrible and they have it the worst, what they don't realize is all points in time have been pretty negative no matter what. I'm 12 years old so I can't confirm this, but I bet there was a good amount of people in the eighties who wanted to live in the sixties, there were a lot of retro diners trying to do that at the time. I also see a lot of people in their 20s wanting to live in the eighties or nineties. Even now we get nostalgic for the 2000s but (assuming you live in america) we were at war, 3000 people died by terrorists and we were in the worst economic recession in 80 years, yet we still look back on it fondly. The only two decades where I feel like people didn't want to be in the past is the 2010s and 1950s because 1950s had an economic boom, plus the war was over, and the 2010s just had nothing negative that I can think of.

@@Vertically_standing_bread True. I'm not from America, but my dad who is in his 70's now almost fought in the Vietnam War by mistake decades ago. Just imagine the people who actually went through it though. The 70's/80's wasn't perfect, only nostalgia can make it seem like it is. But there's still a longing that some people get for a certain period in time that existed long before they were born that you just can't explain. Maybe some of us were born too late, or maybe we just need to live in the present day, who knows? That's why it's called the present.
