We made the 'Decent Days And Nights' video in Los Angeles at Black Dog Studio owned by North East movie director Ridley Scott. We tried to get some face-hugging aliens but they were too expensive and apparently ‘quite unpredictable’ to work with.

Got this album when it came out and it had all the hallmarks of a great debut album. That jittery urgency. The manic energy of youth searching for agency. This whole album had that in abundance, which why it doesn’t feel dated. Eternally fun.

First band I saw at Leeds 2004, and were the best of the whole weekend. Me and 3 mates all bought the debut album as soon as we got home. The fact that this summer that memory will be 20 years old is terrifying!
