This is "The Gael", the theme from The Last of the Mohicans by The Pipes and Drums of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, taken from their excellent "Highland Cathedral" DVD.

It is really epic to record at Bannockburn Memorial, where the spirit of free Scotland was founded. Great tune professionally played.

so I am part Scottish my grandmother and great grandfather and great grandmother are from Scotland. my calico cat flip's every time I play them she's knocked the phone from my hands pretty much every time it plays. I think it's amazing for a cat whom is scared of her own shadow when the bagpipes play she gets so excited she will come from any where just to be close to my phone. I guess I'm not the only one who loves Scotland to the core of my very existence.

This was the first version of the Gael I ever heard and it cemented itself as a firm favourite within 3 bars of the music. Truly beautiful.
