How the hell he missed all those truss joists on the way down through the glass ceiling is beyond lucky. No amount of questions answered is going to predict how he jumps, where the wind might carry him, where he jumps from exactly...if he drifts 10 feet this way or that way...I mean those bay spacings are fairly tight, missed them by what, 10 or 15 feet max? A little contrived for me, but still, a fantastic movie, great acting, editing and direction. Deborah Unger was my high school crush on screen, she was so dynamite in this. Also, not one smartphone in the whole damn movie which reminds me of those times when people would sit down and actually talk to each other, remember post-movie discussions with my friends and family, we'd always talk about the picture and what we took from it. I give it about 2-7 years before Hollywood decides to remake this and ruin everything...again.

The Game is a classic. The movie had a good twist. It was a cruel birthday prank. It was really cruel what they did to Nicholas. He really thought he had killed Conrad.

@kygirlhighlands Жыл бұрын
I think you are entirely missing the point, here. Nicholas had become a lonely shell of a man. Only being somewhat personable with his housekeeper. He completely dismisses his ex-wife when she calls to wish him a happy birthday. He is convinced his brother is a junkie only looking for handouts when they meet. He has lost the meaning of life. The "Game" leads him through a journey where he believes he has lost his wealth; his brother; and his will to live. ONLY AFTER living/walking/breathing this journey can he realize the importance of his real life. That he is loved. That he was taking for granted the things which are important to him.

Honestly I would have probably jumped too if I had accidently killed my own brother or any other person I loved... it was a logical possibility, knowing that his father has commited suicide and that Nicholas was in a bad period even before that. If he didn't jumped they probably had another plan. The company is shown to be an all mighty organisation, a mastermind of the human psychology, able to predict their client's move, like if people want to complain you can invalidate the whole movie because such a compagny is impossible, and would probably be illegal in the real life. The ending would have been bad if it had changed the message of the whole movie, but here it just sublimize it. Nicholas took everything he had for granted and was frankly arrogant and cold, and it took him to loose everything to realize what he had, and then when everything is given back to him he finally shows love and gratitude for it. That's what the movie is about

It’s not supposed to be realistic idiot. Your main goal is to explain the plot, the story, and the lesson of said story. You don’t have to shoot for realism half of the time or you’ll have no story to tell

@@suda_lifts So you're saying that anything goes? If an angel had swooped down to save him that would be okay? The movie set itself up to be somewwhat plausible, and at the end came up with a ridiculously unlikely event to conclude it.

@@stephenwodz7593 yes I would enjoy seeing him being rescued by a angel and fighting god with a ak47 while being lit on fire. Shit would be lit no cap

@@suda_lifts You're being facetitious but you need a certain level of realism to make the premise feel credible. And the ending fumbled it. Cope and seethe.

Saša Marković How exactly? They were on the other part of the roof. He was already on the edge. How exactly would they avoid that? This whole movie Is a continuous plot hole. What if he decided to Jump from the other side of the building? What if he didnt manage to return to the US? What if he hadn't asked for christine's address? Why are there bullet holes on the car if they are not real bullets? What if he hadn't shot his brother, understanding that this is the game? What if he bought a real gun, instead of using the one in his house? It seems that CRS is composed by clairvoyants, not actors. So many scenes that could have happened in a different way, resulting in a possible death for someone.

He wouldnt have. The hours of testing and expert genius samples they collected allowed them to predict every move he made. Thats a big part of the movie and the answer to many "what if he" questions

I had a feeling that the real ending was just another trick by the CRS, or there would be some hint that shows that it isn't over

The whole ending seemed predicated on Nicolas going after James Rebhorn's character, but theres no way the Game people could have counted on this.

If they did Psychological testing prior, it's very likely they could have predicted his every move given the Psych Assessment. That's what Psychologists do, HOF'er, study human behavior. We judge you by your actions and therefore can predict your actions based on past behavior, until you prove differently.
