Missionary Evangelist Robert Breaker talks about "The Gap Theory," being careful to explain WHAT it is, and WHERE it is found in the Bible. He also shows the various beliefs about this theory, and the verses people use to show exactly what happens during this proposed "gap."

GOD HIMSELF WILL DWELL WITH US IN THE NEW JERUSALEM. IF YOU ARE OPEN TO HEAR MORE LET ME KNOW AND I WILL GIVE YOU SPECIFIC PASSAGES IN THE BIBLE TO SUSTAIN THIS TEACHING. STAY BLESSED IN JESUS NAME.

I don't agree in fact the New Heaven, New Earth and New Jerusalem are just three place and you will find that the New Jerusalem will be located on Earth Yes, God is supernatural but I think a lot of Christians cannot understand that God has a natural side too. like, majority of things God does actually are in the realm of natural and in side of all the laws of physics and relativity. will all things be 'natural' No of course not but he is mostly like still going to have his body so he will be one third natural.

Original sin = own will. When u do YOUR own will it will always lead you to sin. Jesus did not do His own will, but the will of the Father! When we have self control and deny ourselves and do the Will of the Father, we can defeat sin through Christ in us.
@Filippa698
@Filippa698 5 жыл бұрын
Original sin was the Lack of Faith. Think about it! This First Sin gave way to all others. The Faith theme is throughout the Old Testament and was reiterated and emphasized by Jesus in the New One. He said to Thomas: "You believe because you have seen. Blessed are those who believe, yet have not seen." God wants us to believe in Him, and not repeat the mistake of His first created humans. Adam and Eve did not trust God to tell them the Truth, even though they saw Him. From that time on, God wanted people to believe in Him, even though they did not see Him. Otherwise, what would be the meaning of Faith which is required of us? It is all about faith! Faith that is not dumb or blind. Faith in God and His ways which are greater than ours.
@Filippa698
@Filippa698 5 жыл бұрын
Lack of Faith is the original sin concerning Adam and Eve. Re. Satan, his sins must have been those of pride, vanity, grandiosity, narcissism, envy, greed, violence, thievery, etc. He thought and tried to dispossess God. These are the same sins we find in his human followers.
@NochEnathan

All flesh is sin. Jesus who knew no sin became sin for us by putting on the flesh. He did not take on the sins of the world at the cross, he was God in flesh of man. Jesus cried out to the Father because he is the Father, he can pray to none higher. There was none other to give him a name! If you see Jesus, you see the Father. He & the Father are one. "Hear O Israel, the Lord our God is one!"

One of my dad's professors in Bible college years ago believed there was a gap between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. My dad has mentioned it more than once over the years and I always found it intriguing, but never put much thought into it, but it made sense. I've always been curious, and always knew satan fell before Adam and Eve were created, so there has always been more to the story. Thank you for this most enlightening Bible study! You've laid it out so concisely! I was taking notes the entire time!

That's what explains the chaotic state mentioned in verse 2 ... a better idea of what happened only follows from taking all those various texts and putting them together in a way that makes sense. God doesn't create disorder or darkness ... only Satan and his demons wreak havoc.

I enjoy watching different "theories ".. but I'm glad you made it clear that it's not doctrinal, but a theory! !!!! I have been on both sides of the coin no gap or A GAP like yourself... so when other brothers and sisters get on here and try to beat ya up over theories let's just pray for one another and lift each other up to The Lord and remember this theory doesn't make a person a heretic or false teacher!!!!

Good Silas. You are right. The teaching has a lot of injections of personal thoughts and misinterpretation. The word replenish must be fill from the original Hebrew. Without form and void from the original root does not mean destroy or chaos. It means formless and empty. This is because it's yet to be made. Create and Made are two different words in the Hebrew. Making is the establishment of form on that which was created formless. Also, nowhere in the whole bible did it say God REcreated the Earth. He only created once and that was it.

I have a question about the “spirits” referred to in 1 Peter 3:19, who Jesus preached to after His crucifixion: I’ve always assumed that they were the souls of the dead and that He preached to them to give them a chance to repent, now that He had died for the sins of mankind. But, you said that those spirits were angels, which seems very odd to me, as Jesus died for our sins, not for the sins of angels. Where am I going wrong?

I hope I don’t make anyone upset with my comment. Please forgive me if I do. I am very new to everything as my mind in the past couple of years has me wanting to learn & learn & learn. Learn the TRUTH, whether it’s about Religion, Earth, Life, Politics etc. I’ve also been doing deep dives about occults, Free Mason, Skull & Bones, etc. Raising my awareness about all the Satanic symbolism I’ve been seeing everywhere has brought me closer to God. Now, I am also trying to learn about Jesus & God, & get more familiar with the Bible. I don’t know where the drive comes from, but I feel it everyday, wanting to know the TRUTH in no matter what the subject is. And yes, I have followed Q, and anyone who actually did any research on Q knows it’s not what the MSM says it is, not even close. Anyway, when You said to check out Bible Patterns and how God is always worked with 7’s & that God has this plan of 7000 yrs of history. You also mentioned that God uses the 7 over & over & over, you just can’t get away with the number 7. Well I found that to be very interesting. I say that Bc many people believe that the Bible was written by a secret society. They are the Free Masons. And when you think about it, the Free Masons are VERY big with numbers. The number 7 was said to be “perfect” because it contained the numbers 3 & 4. 3 & 4, the triangle and the square, the perfect figures - and was itself indivisible and could not be created by multiplication. Some freemasons will claim that together the seven officers represent how human consciousness works. Also, the 7th letter in the alphabet is what? G The letter G in Freemasonry means Geometry under the Great Architect of the Universe, and therefore it is used to remind members of the fraternity to act right and work on improving themselves as we are all under the Great Architect of the Universe. So, I just wanted to point this out. I’m not saying that the Bible was written by Freemasons, I am just simply stating that it all seems like it could all tie in together. Remember, I am still new to all of this and I am keeping an OPEN MIND. I am a believer in Jesus, the son of God and pray to him daily. Anyway, thank you for the video and illustration. It really helps me understand what you are preaching.

As you said, God would not create something w/out form. I’ve studied all these passages in Ezekiel, Isaiah, Genesis and Revelation, and it’s still something to consider. I trust if there was a gap that would be a one of secret things that belongs to The LORD as in Duet 29:29. In heaven (the New Jerusalem), I trust we will not ask some of the things that we say here on earth, “we will find out in heaven”, because we will be too enthralled with worshipping and our service of our Saviour. Thank you for the in-depth study ~ Question: (1 of many in my attempt to understand the logic applied to the gap), I note in the (KJV) King James "God created the heaven and the earth" and in other translations, (including the NKJV), "heavens and the earth." Why do you suppose God did not enlighten us on the previous earth by noting the heaven(s) and the earth(s) plural? Along that same line, nowhere in the remaining description of creation, (vv. 2-31) is there implied that anything is a "re-creation" of what God had created initially in the "first earth" so am I to understand that nothing that was initially created remains, and therefore the first was completely different than anything we are aware of or could imagine (like 1 Corinthians 2:9)?

First let me say, I really enjoyed this teaching and your presentation. Thank you for what you do! A few questions: (1) If your interpretation of Gen. 1:1-2 is "A Gap Theory" that represents (you specifically stating) thousands of years (as opposed to simply "a period of time" or "millions or years" or any number of years), why even insinuate thousands of years? What basis do you have for thousands vs. hundred, or millions or billions for that matter? (2) Can you expand on your emphatic point that Theistic Evolution doesn't work? Why not? (3) This can be a subset question of #2 - Do you believe that Gen. 1:26 (re: the creation of man) and Gen. 2:7 are speaking of the same creative event or something distinctly different?

And this is my number 1 issue with a gap theory. If a 10 year gap than why not a million. If earth had been bobbing around like a cork under water than how many previous worlds were there? Why are we the only time God conducted the human experiment? Why did God make a world for fallen angels, and then destroy it because they were wicked? And on and on the questions go.... Why make up stories to try and explain things that God didn't decide to let us know about. Fun Christian psyfi, but it should stay under that category.

@@JamesThomas-dn6hz I believe they are trying to explain the worlds viewpoint rather than biblical cosmology. There's so many problems with the gap theory. Which if you really get into your research will prove God made a flat enclosed system not a heliocentric ball that moved around the sun. "Let God be true and every man a liar." This doctrine teaches sin/ death before Adam...Romans says sin/ death entered through one man Adam. It changes the gospel. Also, why would God have to destroy ( in this supposed "first flood before Adam") and recreate everything including the sun, moon and stars? He didn't recreate after Noah's flood. Lots, for believers to think and pray about. I'm sticking to the Word of God!

When we look at the word "was" in Genesis 2:2, there are different meanings for this word in Hebrew. This word, "was" can be used to mean "to be" or "become" or "come to pass" or "exist" or "happen" or "fall out." If you want to support the Gap Theory, you will say that the word "was" means "to become" or "come to pass." If you don't believe the Gap Theory, then you will say that the word "was" means "to be" or "exist." How can the word seemingly support both ideas?

"The gap theory is disallowed by Hebrew grammar because verse 2 uses a “vav disjunctive. When “vav” is followed by a verb. ... This grammatical construction is called a “vav consecutive.” Genesis 1:3 through the end of the chapter are all vav consecutives. They all have “and” followed by a verb in the original Hebrew Word order: “And said God… And saw God… And called God…” indicating they are reporting historical events chronologically. However, Genesis 1:2 uses a Hebrew grammatical construction called a “vav disjunctive” which is the Hebrew “and” followed by a non-verb, such as “the earth.” This construction indicates that what follows is a comment or explanation of what came before it. It is similar to how we use parenthesis in English. Thus, Genesis 1:2 is a comment on Genesis 1:1. This vav disjunctive disallows any gap of time between verse 1 and 2 because verse 2 does not follow in time. On the contrary, verse 2 is explaining and clarifying verse 1. It describes the conditions that existed when God first created the heaven and the Earth - namely, when God first created heaven and earth, the earth was formless and empty and dark. Why was the Earth formless and empty and dark? Was it because of some disaster? No, it was because God had not yet formed it and filled it, and had not yet created light. Genesis 1:2 clarifies the conditions that existed on Earth when God first created it. There is good reason for such clarification. A person reading Genesis 1:1 for the first time might erroneously assume that God created the heaven and earth just as they are today - an earth with continents and rolling hills and full of life and light. Genesis 1:2 exists to clarify that this was not the case. When God first created the Earth, it was dark, and without form, and empty; that is the meaning of verse 2. The Earth was not dark, formless, and empty because of some disaster. Rather, it is because God had not yet created light, and had not yet formed the earth (given it continents separated from oceans), and had not yet filled the earth with plants and animals. The rest of Genesis then explains how the Earth became illuminated with light, shaped into continents and oceans, and filled with plants and animals, over the course of six days from its initial state of dark, formless and empty." biblicalscienceinstitute.com/uncategorized/the-gap-theory/

I feel I must point out that the word replenish was used in the original 1611 King James Bible, but in those days the word replenish only meant “fill”. It wasn’t until the 1800’s or so that the dictionary added a second definition of “ fill again”. Newer publications then swapped the primary and secondary meanings. Now the newest dictionaries only have the definition of “fill again“. Same with the word “let”, in 1611 “let” meant “to hinder”, now it means the exact opposite. It’s amazing how Satan has changed the definition of words through the centuries to confuse and divide us.

Yes, it's actually what we call a transitive verb which in the webster 1828 still means to fill or to complete. God's order to man was to complete the earth through reproduction. One usually asks why replenish only twice in the Bible? Because only twice did He need it filled and it is a word He designated only for human life to show our distinct difference from animals. Almost like He knew people would come up with evolution so He used different words to separate life from rocks, and animals from man.

I’m now re-listening to this. I have two issues with the latter two theories: 1.) Why would *_”THE_*_ Gap Theory”_ imply theistic evolution? It would seem to *EXCLUDE* it, since whatever catastrophe befell the earth would destroy whatever (macro) _”evolution”_ had occurred (if any). 2.) What is the basis for limiting *_”A_*_ Gap Theory”_ to only thousands of years? I see no language in Scripture to determine the *length* of any gap. Whatever the reason for the catastrophic end of the first creation (not just the earth), it might have taken millions, even billions, of years to undo. And if Scripture is silent on the length of the gap, then we would probably be left to use scientific observations to determine it.

just a few thoughts to throw into the pot... Rom 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. DEATH REIGNED FROM ADAM - Not satan. Gen 3 shows us that the earth was cursed because of Adam's transgression. and Paul tells us that in Romans 5. Sin entered the habitable world through Adamm and death by sin; death upon all living things; decay. There is no clear comment in Scripture about two worldwide floods. Only one. AND one coming judgment of FIRE. Peter speaks about the world and the earth in 2 Peter 3: 5, 6. In v5 he speaks of the earth - 'ge', and in v6 he uses kosmos for world. The earth is the physical plane we live on. The kosmos could mean the decoration on the earth, or its inhabitants (or both) I believe Genesis 1:1 may be a statement of all things created in summary.; perhaps like a chapter heading. If God created a beautiful fully ordered earth and heavens which was destroyed by some supposed flood, why didn't God do exactly the same thing again, just make a perfect home again - instantly? Each of the creation days sees a new thing happen, new things appear. The house is being prepared bit by bit, just like any master builder would do. On the second day there were no birds, no land animals, no inhabitant, not even the sun, moon and stars. NO grass. Pretty bleak eh. Why? God created things perfectly each thing in its day. There is no solid Scriptural reason to suppose that Genesis 1:2 was not part of His perfect work...a first stage in the unfolding of the beginning point. This earth is set for a throwing away just like an old garment. Let us keep our eyes on Jesus - the one who sustains all things by the word of His power.

No worries Jerry. just like to add the following to the discussion. The LITV in Genesis 1:1 and 2:1 is in the plural form, which the Hebrew word allows for. The KJV shows a plural 'heavens' in the following: Psalm 19:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Psalms 57:11 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth. Psalms 89:11 The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them. Psalms 96:5 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. Psalms 102:25 Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands. Psalms 136:5 To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever. also in Proverbs 3:19 The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens. Proverbs 8:27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth: God tells us who the earth was given to: Psalm 115:16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men. The Bible never tells us that the earth was given to Lucifer or any angelic being. But it does tell us that the earth was given to the sons of men. Bluesky writes below "That word was in vs 2 is Strong's 1961 it means to become.". 1961 also allows for exist or to be, or to continue. In the Scripture ther is no mention of two creations concerning this temporal sphere. Not even with the Flood were the heavens destroyed as if they cesased to exist and needed to be 'recreated'. Just one point about separations. It is true that God at the beginning established separation between various things. And every one of those distinctions are meant to point to the spiritual distinctions or separations that are unchangeable. But those separations do not of themselves prove an earlier creation on earth prior to what we read from Genesis 1:2 onwards. Anyway Jerry, The Lord knows what He has done and that is really what matters. As Moses said, the secret things belong to God and the things revealed belong to us that we may do them. see Deut 29:29. For my part, I do not see any real proof in Scripture for 'any gap theory' between our first and second verse of Genesis 1.

Ian McDonald This is my theory with little scriptural support. I believe the earth and heavens were already created. Lucifer was over all of it, until he was found with iniquity. Now the light barer was the source of light, no sun on the first earth. There were humans on it, but when Lucifer tried to overthrow Yahweh, he was kicked out. Yahweh destroyed the first earth and that is where He through satan. Then after a while, He decided to start over, but this time man would govern himself with the guidance of Yahweh. Now all the people from the first earth could not legally be charged because Lucifer was given the position. So He placed our souls inside the womb. Scripture says that He knew us before we were in our mothers womb. Déjà vu

Those arguing about "replenish" need to keep in mind our modern definitions are different than those of old (archaic)... even so, the original hebrew word in any context simply means "to fill; complete" and doesn't imply "again." The word is used multiple times (242) and only 7 of those times is translated "replenish(ed)." I understand why many are die-hard KJV enthusiasts, but our our modern language isn't like how it used to be. We don't say "I wot not" anymore, we say "I don't know." Versions like the NKJV and the NIV still honor the original language, but in a more modernized tongue that we all can understand. Translations, by nature/definition, are to make something understandable to those who can't understand it. Sorry for the tangent... my point is: chocolate milk is awesome.

Ernest, I am glad that you raise this point - "the original hebrew word in any context simply means "to fill; complete" and doesn't imply "again." Many English translations versions show the word 'replenish' or 'refill'. "eSword" lists a number of versions in its resource. APB has fill. ASV has replenish Brenton has fill Darby has fill GW has fill JPS has replenish KJV replenish LITV fill MKJV fill Webster has replenish YLT has fill Stong's Concordance has this entry for KJV 'replenish'. Hebrew - "H 4390 - מלא מלא mâlê' mâlâ' - maw-lay', maw-law' A primitive root, to fill or (intransitively) be full of, in a wide application (literally and figuratively): - accomplish, confirm, + consecrate, be at an end, be expired, be fenced, fill, fulfil, (be, become, X draw, give in, go) fully (-ly, -ly set, tale), [over-] flow, fulness, furnish, gather (selves, together), presume, replenish, satisfy, set, space, take a [hand-] full, + have wholly. If we read fill the earth in Gen 1:28 the idea of a second creation becomes very flimsy. A comment on the following quote of yours "Translations, by nature/definition, are to make something understandable to those who can't understand it. " God has set in His church various gifts - apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherd - teachers. Eph 4. It is the task of teachers to give the meaning of the text. Whether they do or not is their responsibility. It is the task of the translator to use the closest word in the target language, not to teach but to tranliterate as closely as possible. We have a huge problem in the modern 'churches' owing to bible translators and editors doing the work of teachers. Jesus was a teacher of the Scriptures, but He didn't try to bring out a new version.. He just stuck to His role as Teacher (ONE OF HIS MANY ROLES). WHAT A TEACHER!!

Replenish in English means the same thing today as it always has. It's not different. So, in English, it means to "fill" and also to refill. Both definitions are the same as yesteryear. The definitions in the KJV has not changed. We are just ignorant of our own language. There's no need to go to Heb/Gk. Rather than going to modern versions to find modern terms, how about looking up unfamiliar KJV definitions? No, we can't do that but we will readily go to a subjective Hebrew or Greek Lexicon (Strong's, Vine's, et. al.) What is the problem with the KJV? None. We are just conditioned to believe there is and that we are somehow handicapped by it. The term "Archaic" is a boogeyman term to discredit the KJV. There's little if any validity to it. No, we don't say, "I wot not" (I know not) today, but what's wrong with telling folks to look it up. Are we so afraid to tell people that Bible study is a requirement? Yes, we're afraid (rather, we know) that our microwave, instant everything, lazy millennial converts will be out the door at the first whiff of discomfort. BTW, The NKJV and NIV do WAY more than update language. The NIV changes the doctrines of the KJB. The NIV doesn't especially like Jesus a whole lot. Read side by side with KJV.

How is it then that the Bible says the foundations of the earth cannot be moved? Also have you ever tried to Flood a ball or use one as a footstool when it's spinning at thousands of miles per hour? One other thing to consider. The Ball Earth theory is brought to you by the same people who brought you Evolution! Why does God say the 4 corners of the earth, if the earth is a ball? A ball doesn't have corners. Also the Firmament is where the sun, moon and stars reside. If stars are actually millions of light years away. How then will God throw 1/3rd of them down to the Earth if they are all so much larger than our planet? There is more than enough evidence in scripture to do a bible study on it. It will not change your salvation but like the Gap theory it is an interesting topic.

Perhaps you ought to study Bible interpretation and hermeneutics. The Scripture is full of many figures of speech and metaphors, which you just mentioned! Was Christ a door? A Vine??? Does actual rivers of water flow out of my belly? Were the Jews of Jeremiah's day actually cows-Jer. 4? Was Christ a piece of bread? Are we all actually one body? Are we all one bread-1Cor 10??? Surely you understand these and HUNDREDS MORE in Scripture are figures of speech? The 4 corners? What about the 4 winds? Surely you heard of GRAVITY, which answers your questions? And, it is possible that earth is at the center of the universe and that the earth is not moving, but everything revolves around the earth. I have read scientific writings by CREDENTIALED SCIENTISTS putting forward Geocentrism against Heliocentrism. I don't listen to KZfaq nonsense posted by scientifically untrained people pretending to KNOW the earth is flat!!! I do watch flat-earth videos though, for entertainment and laughs. They do make me laugh.

You have clearly made up your mind. Enjoy your ball earth and evolution. I will wait and hopefully see a bible study done by Pastor Breaker on the Flat Earth. Credentialed scientists, funny, they have those for Evolution also.

Condition 1 ook, you wouldn't let Bubba operate on your brain! You wouldn't let Jamal work on your car unless you KNEW these people were trained properly and knew what they were doing. IN THE SAME WAY the people making these flat-earth videos are not scientifically trained and it is OBVIOUS. You can't possibly be serious about this! These people are making these videos and laughing while they do it.

Then how does anyone explain, "In the beginning..." I wonder. Let God be true and every man a liar... just saying. No anger intended.

@@robwells5753 Time had a beginning. Eternity has no beginning or ending. The Beginning spoken of in Genesis 1:1 is the beginning of time, space and matter. Time concerns the material universe, which can only be understood by the three elements. Each one of them is a creative act of God. I do not hold to the Gap theory as it is explained in this video, or any Gap theory between verse 1 and 2 of Genesis 1. It is a theory which cannot be absolutely proved. It is an interpretation of Scripture that many hold to. Jesus never spoke about any such pre Adamic habitation of earth. The apostles of Christ never spoke about any inhabitants of earth prior to Adam.

If you could explain to you dog his beginning, would you talk about how he came from the wolf? Or would you explain to him the mysterious of the universe that even we can't understand. Ancient Hebrew words are not the same as modern English. Do your research on Hebrew, and you will see why many scholars have came to this same conclusion. I watched many videos on Gap Theory. This is the shortest and least thorough. Even though I think Robert Breaker is great.

@@sergeantt8527 Firstly, I don't have a dog. second, if i did, I would not explain to my dog anything. thirdly and more importantly, our beginning and the beginning of all creatures on earth is recorded in Scripture - the Holy Bible. Whether we believe it or not. The dog knows his Creator, as does the lightning and the snow, as do the trees and all living things - even man knows his Creator, but man in his pomp and pride refeuses to admit what he knows in his conscience , if he would listen to it. I wasn't there but Good was. The six days of cretion are literal 24 hour days and the Torah testifies to this as does Jesus Himself, and Peter. The origin of the gapt theory is discussed in - gaptheory.net/history-of-the-gap-theory/, and other places. Hang on to the Gap Theory if you wish; that's your choice and you can make it. But not this chicken - been around for a few decades. Death and destruction for the material earth came as a result of Adam's transgression. I'm sticking to that. Trust in Jesus Christ oour Creator and Sustainer, our Redeemer and soon coming King. In Him we move and have our being.

@@ianmcdonald8648 I do trust in Jesus. But in Isaiah, Lucifer is cast out. Lucifer is also the king of the Earth. That's Biblical. There already was sin before Adam. The Serpent didn't sin the same hour Adam did. Also, God told Adam not to eat from the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil, or he would surely die. Adam obviously understood what death was, but sinned anyway. There are such things as Bible mysteries. But I don't limit the greatness of the Lord. If he is an eternal being, I don't think that this Earth is his only creation. I do think we are the only creation made in his image. But aliens exist brother. That's a fact. It goes into who did Cain marry? You chose to fill in the blanks saying that there were many many sons and daughters and cousins. But that isn't in scripture. You go over the story of creation, and make it seem as if the Sun and Moon were initially created. However, the ZULU tribe of Africa has writings of when the moon was brought here. When Apollo 11 landed on the moon, they said it "rung" like a bell. We can fast forward to Revelations, and read that 1/3 of the Sun will be destroyed, 1/3 or the moon will be destroyed. And there will be a New Heaven, and a new Earth when Jesus comes back. The Lord is very capable of creating and destroying his creations as he sees fit. Dissecting scripture is fun. I believe that the grace of God is what saves. But its still interesting. It doesn't take away from the meaning of the Gospel. And he will reveal to us what he desires.
