I covered my entire front yard in cardboard, then so much soil and compost. I replaced a foot of jagged gravel, weeds and un-mowable grass with beautiful fruit trees and flowers. This has taken me the last couple years, but it is a radical transformation. HUNDREDS of cardboard boxes, instead of pesticides. LOVE IT! IT WORKS!

Looking good! It's very pretty. I love watching you because of the size of your garden and house. It's very comparable to my garden size. I have stopped watching some videos because they just keep increasing the size of their garden and their house. I enjoy your videos because you are down to earth, and seem to be very middle class, without airs. I will say that even at 67, i have learned alot from you. Another great person i watch is john Lord. He owns a nursery, but his garden is only 2 acres. Both of you have given me such great ideas. Enough said. I will be patiently waiting for the next video. God bless!

Your driveway garden with path & bench looks wonderful, Danielle! Never enough benches as far as I'm concerned. They serve both as reward & contemplation seat, because as gardeners our work is never done (even when sitting still!) That's when the creative takes over & takes flight, and different viewing/seating areas make for new ideas. Painters often use a mirror to view their work in a novel way, just to 'check' it & see where flaws are. A carefully chosen garden bench spot will do the same, allowing you to see your handiwork in a new way & clarify what's missing!

The driveway garden is looking lovely and I am certain you will continue to enhance it even further. A couple of suggestions for your consideration: add some stones here and there as they greatly enhance the naturalistic feel; add a small conifer or two for winter interest and a different texture other parts of the year; add verbena bonariensis to "float" amidst your hydrangea (and they will look great in your cut flower arrangements also); add a large pot to the right of your garage door and plant something tall in it (e.g., elephant ears or a conifer for year round interest). Love watching your channel and can't wait to see the rest of your renovations unfold!
