Thank you for that lovely walk through history and it's informative look at the history of gem cutting in the Jura Mountains. So much history and through so many years. It's just amazing. To understand what these people had to learn and work with and to know just how successful they became is amazing. Thank you for this wonderful look at an important place in the history of gem cutting.

It's hard to imagine kids in still in school polishing faceted stones today. I did see a video about a professional 12 year old American lapidary. Such a rare thing to see, people so young yet so compelled to become experts in a specialty field.

My wife started her Gemcutting apprenticeship when she was 14. I’m quite jealous as no similar opportunity was ever presented to me as a kid.

@@JustinKPrim Victorian's advanced cutting skill is a sight to see. Working on the Swiss machine isn't something American cutters are really familiar with. Maybe you two can do a dual demonstration video? One with both of you cutting the same design with a back-and-forth between the Sterling and Bunter. A pair made for earrings could be the theme.
