It sad when you see cold cases that are unsolved for so long, that's a family denied justice for years and who's had to live with the knowledge that the killer is out there still. I can't imagine the pain they go through and my heart always goes out to them.

I'm honestly so intrigued by genetic genealogy & how they are able to find suspects & solve crimes from cold cases. It amazes me every time. Side note, it's honestly just out of curiosity or if anyone knows. But I read the article that is linked in the description, & they pretty much just restate everything in the video, & adding a few more things that were not obviously. One of those is that some of the family & a best friend of Susan Tice speak out. I guess my question is, I wonder why they weren't part of the video? I mean, they very well may have not wanted to be on camera, that's all it could be. Or, is Fifth Estate going to do a part 2 on this? I found that to be interesting that's all. Hope these 2 beautiful women & their families get the justice they deserve. 😊

It’s actually quite incredible the advancement and work of science, history and technology all being combined to determine the make up of human genes. My guess is there’s still investigative skills being applied in order to zero in in exact person, details, etc. I think they did an amazing job creating this publication -as I appreciate this refreshing and raw human expression that portrays the reality so many families face & have to somehow live with, especially cold cases and a never ending sea of questions, pain of senseless acts that affect them forever. Excellent work in putting this publication together, was moving and educational -expressed tenderness, genuine love and human loss and longing. Well done The Fifth Estate!

This is something I’ve been saying and worrying about since they first started advertising selling all those DNA tests to anyone who wants them.. Knew that the government would somehow have access to the information, like an open book without any kinda need for a warrant. It’s slightly scary that any random person sitting at home that may want to know about their background could possibly open up the floodgates mistakenly. Although I can see how it could benefit some people like in this particular unfortunate case. But at the same time, if I’m just wanting some information regarding my biological history, then that’s one thing. However I’m also not trying to get anyone in my family tree caught up in something that they may or may not have done in their past either, regardless of what that something may or may not be!!!… Kinda feels like it’s a double edged sword. It’s exactly why I’ll never use those tests…

They have a lot of work left to do, building the great-grandparent's line of descent down to men born in, say, no later than the 1960's. Then attempting to include or eliminate them. In the US, police can follow people around until they discard a cigarette or coffee cup, and swab the items for DNA and work up a genetic profile to compare to the suspect's DNA, without a search warrant since the items are discarded and therefore no longer the person's private property. Is that legal in Canada? They could also ask members of the family to voluntarily DNA test for them but ... they're talking about small town Canada, and asking people to possibly send a relative to prison for life for serial murder, the family could close ranks. They WILL solve this! But it is a long grind to go through building the tree, then building timelines for all of the male descendants who could be the suspect. It takes time, but it's not rocket science, and if they can DNA test members of the family (male *or* female, it wouldn't matter), they can eliminate (or include) entire branches, depending on how closely or distantly those testees match the suspect DNA, and gradually whittle down the suspect pool One suggestion is to do a Y-DNA test on the suspect DNA. Its' a longshot but it could lead to a patrilineal surname that could help.

Now dont get me wrong. I'm not a crazy conspiracy theorist. But some years back, before the genealogy DNA tests were marketed I watched a documentary discussing the ease of solving cases when DNA profiles were on file (criminal) & they talked about how easy it would be to solve cases if everyday citizens DNA was on file. They said they just needed to figure out a way to get people to want to hand over their DNA. Not long after 23 and Me & similar at home DNA kits were available. Where you could give your DNA & the company would tell you info about your heritage & background. Dont be fooled into thinking everyones DNA isnt being kept on file.

Now on to... Kenora Jane Doe 2009 Scarborough John Doe "Rosco Echo 1986(?) Toronto John Doe " Henry Drendorff" 1978 A possible Canadian John Doe found in Hawaii in 1982(?). Found in a emergency wet-suit ( the kind northern deep-sea fishermen wear) which was sold in 1980-81. He also had a previously amputated arm. Figure he's not listed as missing as he was probably listed as lost-at-sea. Jane Doe found in 200? In Hawaii. Called herself "Pansy" or "Ah". Older lady with dementia. Had a 'Canadian accent.Could she be missing Canadian Jean D'Arc Oulette ? 🤔🇨🇦

And where was the apology to Guy Paul Morin for the Jessop murder. Money isn't an apology. Cops don't care to find the guilty party.....just to find anyone to blame. It's wonderful to find the guilty party but it's even more important to make amends with the falsely imprisoned. And money does not make amends. Imprisoning the people who falsely led to the person being imprisoned would be a better resolution. The guy said the door was ajar. Well he should make up his mind. Was it a door or was it a jar.?

I am GREATFUL that technology can do this. However, when it comes to DNA testing I think that they are looking for alien 👽 DNA.

The cause is to prevent accusing/arresting/incarcerating any 'bob the builder' or any random 'gang member' absolutely not involved (not there). LE will look at several family members at once that may (or may NOT) be involved. They know they may not find the 'suspect'. But, they know they are getting close. Much closer than a needle in a hay stack. It would be similar to police getting a TIP ... "It's the Smith family" and then the tipster hanging up on police with no other details given. Okay, who in the Smith family? Which generation? Who do they start with? Who had means, motive and opportunity? Who has an alibi that did or did not check out? Is the perp still alive? Is the tip related? Or, coincidence? (Rational reason for DNA being there after speaking with a suspect?) A Scientific Tip. A lead that LE follows. It does not guarantee an arrest even if CORRECT family identified. When used properly. *And, more than likely ALWAYS is BECAUSE without a confession any charges have to be good enough to stand up in court on OTHER evidence & facts besides just the DNA "similarities". For obvious reasons. **In these cases DNA won't be the smoking gun.** It will merely support the theory by LE that is (hopefully) obtained by much facts and other evidence. As in cases where no DNA is found. It's not the cake. Just the cherry on top. Sometimes ... If lucky it can become the cake too. If there's enough DNA left behind (collected) for multiple testings. *If LE narrow down to a specific suspect (relative) and then get that relative's DNA and it's an exact match to their (sample) DNA ... that's their guy. If not ... LE will move on and continue to look at other relatives.

Jesus love you, he died on the cross for you, accept him as your lord and savior he can change everything. For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life" (John 3:16) But you must repent too. From that time Jesus went about preaching and saying, Let your hearts be turned from sin, for the kingdom of heaven is near. (Matthew 4:17):
