Very disturbing movie. A child is seduced by a man. She is unable to think for herself really. I know a lot of people say she had a chance to get away but we don't understand the way the mind works when it's subject to this kind of abuse. She is manipulated by a man. Can't really think for herself. It's a serious control. She had no one that she could count on in her life. This guy seduced her. He is the guilty one not the girl.

This entire movie is such a complete mess. It jumps about all over the place and is out of sync. The story is not fluid. It’s a total waste of time.

This girl went outside so many times and said nothing to no one. She didn't want to leave She got so comfortable. They should have charged her also not only the man. Also how she forgot her own name. She is just liiad.

I felt that way in the beginning of the movie but, as it went on, I started to wonder HOW it would feel to have no family that cared. She MAYBE felt that he was the only one who even remembered her and, she was threatened with an end of existence if she left. The mind of a 14 year old child is NOT the mind of a grown person, they're impressionable (just think of all the drug addicts who started at 13 or 14). At first I would have agreed with you but, having watched the whole movie and given it real thought .... a 38 year old manipulated an adolescent and STOLE her adolescence (and in her case with NO family to guide her, it was really a CHILD and CHILDHOOD).

i liked the male lead better on greys anatomy when he played charles and died after he was shot by a crazed killer and bailey and the actress mandy moore were locked on the floor so he couldnt be saved and died in baileys arms

I'm sorry but she dug her own grave. It's not like he kidnapped her she came to him on her own 2 feet and she liked being his girlfriend and she had many chances to leave even before he let her go out. She could have left during the day when he was at work. She could have made noise so his parents would have heard her. But as he would tell her she's not so smart. She's as sick as he is
