I know that Chinese actors and actresses wears this thick foundation and if not properly adjusted they will look like a ghost. This actress seems to be always using the same style of make up. Very white and this might feel heavy too. Have you ever worn a thick make up that you want to scrub asap to make your skin breathe?? I hope they need to change this type of make up.

It’s this actress choice. She like that make up style. Even cnetz complain how out of place her makeup style for the series but she does not care. She wear what she likes.

for some strange reason they want to look very "white", skinny, very skinny with white skin. As long as the censors do not object I suppose everything is OK. In dramas aired before 2017 the faces look normal, Asian and the actors healthy with a muscle tone.

Horrible drama. The male lead turned out to be an ungrateful loser and was so disappointing. A male lead that was originally very upright, and sincere to the female lead, went to a brothel in broad daylight to drink and hang around courtesans. The only thing more terrible than a terrible person is watching a good person become one and it hurt to watch BECAUSE Li Qian was so sweet and lovely in the beginning. In the end Li Qian became a disgusting hypocrite who did not deserve Baoning. I wish the Empress Dowager succeeded in making Baoning divorce Li Qian.
