that is such a lovely way to describe this music! it is not my favorite genre of music but the glitch mob always sticks out as particular. the synthesizers seem very vocal and almost relaxing in a way. it flows so well

there is actually a term for that in music studies called complementary rhythms of/and completeness (or so its called in my language, i dont know what its really called in english, this is just translated) but basicly it means that the different instruments and sounds complete eachother and fill out gaps in the song. like you said "finishing eachother sentences". so you are actually 100% right, and you have a good ear for music :D

Obviously 2009 is not old in music history, but in EDM history, and specifically the genre Glitch Mob occupied? They were literally among the first ever and unquestionably the most successful artist in their genre by far. 2009 is ancient by that standard. This shit was brand new music in 2009 unlike anything the world had ever heard before, by a long shot. In the 13 years since then, the genre has grown about 400% older, because it was brand new at the time. So yes, 13 years in this case is a fucking massive amount of time. Electronic music has absolutely transformed dozens of times since 2009 and many 2000's era songs sound ancient today. It's not rock dude, EDM changes much more fluidly and quickly, especially since 2005. So yes, it is a factual statement that Glitch Mob were FAR ahead of their era and made music in 2009 that was just ahead of its curve and still holds up as modern today unlike many other EDM songs from the 2000s, many of which just sound like outdated 2000's dubstep etc.
