I used to have a friend who's sister i think had one of these glowfriends, i liked it but never really watched the cartoon, i must say, this cartoon is actually of extremely high quality, especialy if you think it's from 1985, what a wonderfull production, i'm pleasantly surprised.

@BiancasNostalgiaCorner and here I am now, studying the entire lore of the show lol (Most importantly, GloWorm's official romance, given all Gloworms are male, due to this fact that he has been provided a significant other, this suggests that each design coming in from blue to pink, is meant to resemble his purple shirt with those colors mixed. And since obviously baby gloworm exists, this suggests that GloWorm himself is the father, of this child, whom someone on the show must be the mother of. That would make the most sense to be Bashful Bug, and seeing as she and granny bug are often with Baby Gloworm when she is not with Gloworm, another sign she would be mother. Gloworm obviously has a strong friendship with GloBug, and Bashful must have a friendship with GloButterfly in a similar way, noticing how they interact with eachother, while GloButterfly comes across in a playful mood to both Bashful and Gloworm. However, these seem to be their closest friends, and they don't have such strong relationships with many other of the GloFriends. Nvm I'm just gonna write a google doc on this.💀💀
