As a citizen of Sweden settling a new city, we chop down all of the forests around us and use that wood to build a theater with an amphitheater then we spend the rest of eternity partying in them as the whole world around us starves from lack of money and flock to our cities to party with us and read books

Great game! Wow. I just completed my best Culture game yesterday after the patch so no Goddess of Harvest and the Great Writer nerf. I did it in 169 turns! Sweden is just so powerful my Culture and Tourism income was exponential once I had a few themed Museums. I got really lucky in a sense I was able to expand 12 Cities with no real pressure and I got Babylon(+ 1 Science for Writers and +2 for Art/Artifacts) so I only built 3 Campus Districts but still had + 200 Science and like +400 Culture. I didn't even have the best Tourism policy cards but with Divine Spark + Oracle I was able to generate so many Great people and sell the Diplomatic favor so my Gold income was like +350. 100% best Culture Civ right now.

In this video you state at around the 2:53 mark that you would consider settling the banana tile. Just had a 220 turn (epic speed - so would be 146 normal) religious win with Mansa Musa. Didn't even try or push that hard. But it was still slow in comparison.

All Pantheons are basically 'free' resources. It could easily be balanced by reducing the quantity gained to 1/4 the yield, or even 10% of the yield. My point is, there is a sweet spot in which it is balanced.

Why doesn't civtrader post gameplay/stream?

I think war works well with this strat. Just get any allies you can and make them declare war on the culture leader, maybe get one or two value horsemen and just pillage his shit together with your allies.

Before watching it all, Sweden sure isn't the civ I'm thinking of when talking about fast culture victory. Super excited to see how you pull it off. Is it open-air museums spam? But that would be too slow. Hmm, curious. After watching it (it was 4 in the morning here when you upload so I fell asleep halfway lol,) I didn't know theming early was that huge of an impact... Also the free diplomatic points for sales.

A pity civ trader is not actively p,sei g anymore. IMO one of the most innovative single player.

I might be stupid... kinda new to the game, but wouldnt it have been smart to plug in the economic card that gives theater square adjacency bonus, like right away, maybe get to conservation quicklier and utilizing that, and just winning of of national parks...?

Good run but I want to say that Pangea is the easiest map by far. For one you can start rolling with war and keep going if you like. Also, the AI civs cancel each other out whereas on continents you often get one Civ that takes over the whole place which is science victory game over especially if they get the Oxford. Continents Deity on standard size is the most difficult Civ experience in my mind. Potato is probably a better player than me but he and others on KZfaq play a LOT of Pangea, just saying.

So, this entire video is based on having the Goddess of the Harvest pantheon, which was removed in the June 2019 update of Civ 6. I'd still love to try this game run myself; has anyone made a simple mod we could opt in to that brings it back? It seems like a fun game to play, even though I couldn't produce the same map and start location with the game seeds mentioned in some comments here (-1622851538 and -1622851537, not sure in which order - are those seeds unstable across game versions? 😟).

The upload seed idea is great. How about that if you do it you don't select the civ the person who sent you the seed? That would be an even better challenge.

amazon prime is kind of crazy. i mean it makes up almost the full cost of amazon prime. so amazon makes kind of little money on it at this point. what is even greater is how it works here in switzerland. there is no amazon prime (yet) here. so instead, there is "prime video". basically just to watch prime, but without the benefits in the normal store. that only costs 2.50. and YES, you get a free twitch prime with it. meaning amazon literally gives the streamer more money than they get

You overlooked something which I think may be the biggest mistake in this whole run which is Hong Kong: *"Your cities get +20% Production towards city projects."* You ran so many theater square festivals that I honestly think that your game probably went almost 20% longer than it needed to. Not being suzerain of Hong Kong was incredibly costly, given how this strategy works.
