I was in the lowest place of my life, and Jesus was there all along with me. He lifted me up, not by using Law, but by His abundant grace. I had always thought obeying Law will restore and lifted me up and pleasing God, but I ended in the opposite end. I am now restored and overwhelmed by Jesus’s kindness, while still learning not to trust Law, but His sufficient grace in my daily life. Truly there is now no condemnation for those in Christ.

All should receive God's forgiveness and after that live a life worthy of repentance. Do not return to your vomit or wallow in the mud after you have been washed clean with the blood of Christ. God the Father commanded us to be holy just as He is. God WORKS IN us to do of His good pleasure. So, let us WORK OUT our salvation with fear and trembling.

I listened a preach for the first time one year ago right immediately after my divorce, and since then I listen one chapter daily. I remember I was so broken, so depressed that I wanted to end my pain with the “easiest” way out but the enemy didn’t win, I never saw my divorce coming but God used it to find me and It was through Joel’s preaches how He saved me from making something terrible. I am living today, I am so blessed and enjoying my life at its most that I only can say: thank you God for the pain because without it I wouldn’t be here and all the preaches from the pastor Joel helped me so much to overcome all the painful process but most of all was God’s love. ✨✨✨🤍🤍🤍

God saved me from addiction twice. Once 25 years ago and again 10 years ago. I clearly r.emember calling my mom from rehab and telling her I was going to be ok and I was. " For it is by grace that you have been saved and not of your own works" one of the drug counselors who became a very dear person in my life would on his own accord read a bit of scripture to us at night. He gave me his bible and suggested I start reading Matthew Mark Luke and John he later introduced me to pastor Joel. This man was the son of a notorious mobster that murdered a lot of people and he brought me back to God. I was thinking about this man recently maybe calling him but I was scared he be gone. He had died 4 months ago. I wanted him to really understand how he changed my life when he gave me that bible and I'll never forget him. One time he was cracking me up and he said" imagine if God was your lawyer? Who could beat God? " 😁 No one Joey . No one.

God is beyond good. The grace of God is such a beautiful, magnificent gift. So is God’s guidance sent through such encouragement as this sermon. Pastor Joel serves God’s people as well as any of them, this sermon alone is food for the soul, to lift people out of the pit after a fall. Restoring hope restores life, the powerful belief that things can get better, that a bad turn (or a few) doesn’t mean your chances for good and triumph is over: Priceless! More people will turn to Almighty God when reminded of God’s mercy, grace, and supernatural ability to get people back on track, as opposed to thinking God doesn’t care and has given up on them. Praises to God, my gratitude to my Lord, our Creator, always.

And I hope that you are one who also responds to God by daily studying His word. While this sermon is very good, its not enough to feed the soul. Many Christians - most Christians - do not know the Bible. They do not read it daily. I suggest you start reading one chapter a day in the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke or John); one chapter a day in the Epistles (the letters to the early churches -Romans, Corinthians, Ephesians, etc); and one Psalm, daily. Pick up a "New Testament and Psalms" in the NASB - New American Standard Bible - considered the best translation into the English language from the original languages that the Bible was written in. When people read the Bible in this way, they grow up to be mature Christians. And when people do not read their Bible regularly, they remain immature Christians. And most Christians do not read the Bible, or know it. I hope that your life will be filled with a knowledge of the Bible; start with the New Testament. God Bless You.

@@valp9972 My car has scripture on it. You mean well, but be careful of assumption. I have a Bible signed to me by my minister grandparents that travels with me coast to coast. You ever been baptized in a river? I have. Read the Bible and note what the real body of Christ is, it’s the PEOPLE who LIVE IT AND HEAL AND UPLIFT THE BROKEN like Pastor Joel Osteen does as did his father John. Avoid being like the Pharisees, Jesus told them off for self-righteousness. You’re suggesting “form”, however, “living” God’s love is what Christ embodied and came to teach us. He stated clearly that those with perfect form do not trump those with a true heart of good, love and righteousness that is shown through honest giving of that goodness and love. Without embodiment, form, is not much. Reading is fine, but remember Proverbs 3:4 “with all thy getting get UNDERSTANDING.” This sermon has helped someone to lift their head and stand back up today, someone has renewed hope, so you criticize that it’s not enough and how many Christians don’t read, but Romans 3:4 KJV - “Let God be true and every man a liar”…there are people who read the Bible all day but never help anyone with the power of a good word or a hand up. Be mindful too that there are people who don’t know how to read at all and yet they’re a better Christian than most. I’m so glad Pastor Joel chose to live by Deuteronomy 31:6 - “Be strong and courageous, fear not nor be afraid of them (*critics?*) for the Lord your God goes with you and shall not forsake you.” Thus, Lakewood Church continues to thrive by God’s mighty, right hand.
