Released in 1972, The Godfather is a movie about the Italian Mafia which stars Marlon Brando as Don Vito Corleone, the head of the Corleone family. The movie also stars Al Pacino as Michael Corleone, Vito’s youngest son.
The story is mostly set in New York City during the years 1945-1955 and it depicts conflicts that the Corleone family has with other crime families. The movie also focuses on Michael’s transformation from not wanting to be part of his family’s criminal activities to becoming a ruthless mafia boss. Today we’ve selected two scenes from this iconic movie for you to learn English with.

A couple of years ago I watched this movie and wrote down all unknown expressions listening till the moment when I could catch everything by ear but now I see that don t remember something. Very usefull channel.

I have never watched this movie but I recognize that it is a cinematic masterpiece. There are so many references in shows like The Simpsons, My Wife and Kids, Family Guy and so on. What I like the most is the reference in My Wife and Kids, it's hilarious. Thank you for this amazing lesson

I am not pretty sure (cause my english is not native) but, I was almost sure that Sollozzo said "million" instead "minion", that was in reference of an amount of money that he ask to Vito, as an investment, beside his politic friends protection. Nice video!
