In fact as far as I know no one dies in that scene at all despite all the gunfire! Willi Cicci is later shown alive and both the Rosotto brothers live.

... I guess that's why he botched it, .. a true assassin would have pointed to the ceiling and then thrown the pillow athem, jump outhe window, ...hands first, so that if they break anything it won't be their legs, and then run like hell. Obviously did not complete his Ninja school training

King King His borhter lied and betrayed him in a profession where most people die by violence . That's not the kind of thing that could be overlooked. It's not just that Fredo was dumb, he was also a liar.

shihoblade plus Fredo was the one that was supposed to be guarding their dad in the first movie when he was ambushed. Fredo even drops his gun. So not only did he betray and lie to Michael, he was also incompetent.
