Aurora is cheating though, she is not creating music, she is channeling it from some divine place...from the muse of music: youtu . be / gWa68W9sUC4&t=26m40s "...because I have so much energy when I sing, and I can feel like, you know. It comes from like a different place, like from the place of music, if it's....you know, this divine place. I get like, I get too much energy for my tiny human shape." youtu . be / HmXGMrYSm2g&t=50m50s "When they come from you, eventually they will come to an ending....." ...but when it goes through you, there is no ending to the source. It is very endless."

Aurora is a savant… there is such effortlessness to her song writing and singing capabilities. Aurora was creating s lifetime of songs in the ether before she was brought here. And she will sing and create music long after she leaves back to whence we all came from.

A fact about her: Aurora didn’t initially mean to pursue a musical career and one of her reasons was not liking the sound of her own voice and wanting to keep her stories/music for herself as a more personal thing, and it wasn’t until her parents encouraged her that she decided to give it a try.

She’s just on a different level. Like some artists can serve us pop bangers like Gaga, some artists can serve us depressing songs that make us cry like Adele, some artists can serve us unique production like Billie, or poetic lyrics like Lana, or storytelling like Taylor, or soulful catchy singles like Ariana… but nobody... NOBODY can do it all quite like Aurora. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I think she is this generations greatest composer, songwriter and performer. She’s on the same level as Bowie, MJ, Prince. She’s an icon.

I totally agree, and think she’s on track. I just saw her live in Seattle at a sold out venue after a decade of a being absolutely in love with her music. She’s still relatively unknown in the mainstream, but it’s only a matter of time before Auroa gains mainstream fame… not that I think she wants that, but it will happen. Talent and uniqueness like hers just doesn’t go unnoticed for long. She’s absolutely incredible. Sometimes I get nervous when I’m about to go see an artist live for the first time who’s music I love as sometimes live they under deliver on my expectations or their personality kinda can ruin the positive associations I have about their music. Seeing Auroa in person was the complete opposite experience. She’s better live. You can see her channeling directly from her creative source on stage. She’s authentic, humble and a musical, lyrical, vocal and performance genius.

I love the video for 'Giving in to the love!' Aurora said the song was inspired by the myth of Prometheus, who fashioned humans out of clay. He then stole the divine fire from the Gods to animate us with life. In the video, Aurora represents the fire, (just look at how she is dressed and the overlay of her dancing as the statues come to life.) She said that it is very sad that people spend too much of their life worrying about that 'clay,' (their physical appearance,) when it's the 'fire' within us that's actually important. "I guess it's, clay? No, no. Fire? Yes, yes!" - Aurora 2021.

I really enjoyed this (and the work you clearly put into it). Regarding "Exist for Love" (dropped almost 2 years ago) being on this new album - remember that it is almost a year ago since Aurora said that her next album (the one after "Gods we can touch") is being in final production - probably being released in the next two years. My instinct is that she does this to stay "off-beat" in terms of "trends". (And Exist for love is of course also a throw-back to the happy days stuck between two world wars - musically speaking). As I am writing while watching you - I am giggling with you pondering about the piano on "the innocent - looking forward to see you respond to an accordion later) I appreciated this. Thanks.

You’re reactions are a reflection of my own 🥰Aurora holds such a precious place in my Heart. I love how on this album every song is a fiercely unique experience, a new feeling with many layers open for interpretation... I always find myself dancing wildly. I think Aurora did say “Exist for Love” was her first love song she’s released. It’s so sweet and soothing 🍯 Ugh. Her music is the entire spectrum of emotion ! It’s wiiiiiiillllllllllld Another thing I love is that she can communicate sensuality and sexuality but in undercurrents of colours and subtlety...it’s woven into her art. she so fiery and soft all at once 🌬🔥

Incredible reaction to an amazing album, thank you ❤🥰 Your instinct about Aurora driving a car seeming weird is SPOT on 🙂 She said once in an interview, that she should never drive a car, it would be dangerous for everyone involved. She explores so many new sounds and styles in this album, and she said it is intentionally different and experimental and playful, so the next album might be going "back" to her previous sounds again. I think she already finished the next album at least in terms of writing the songs but probably not recorded yet. So it might be less than 2.5 years until the next one 🤞 Here is the quote from the interview: youtu .be / YytOgPVXqK0&t=3m24s "Sonically what can you tell us about kind of ehh, is this (Cure For Me) kind of representative of what you're exploring on the next record. Is it a sign of what's to come?" "Ehh No! It's very NOT how the album sounds, which is very exciting. But it has something in common with the album, that I am experimenting with new things and new sides, which I am enjoying. Because it is easy for me to make a really "Aurora" album you know, like that feels like nature and Mother Earth. It is very easy for me to do that because it comes so naturally for me, so I have been *really* enjoying just doing something new this time, doing something different. Because this is my third...and a half....album, and it's about time, you know, in my mind I needed to just play around and do something different, and for me music has always been extremely serious and no fun. It's been very like very serious, and I always write very serious things, and I can see myself like standing on stage every night for an hour and being like really sad all the time, because all my songs are so filled with so much sadness, you know. I just wanted to make an album for myself that had a bit more playfulness and cheekiness and wildness. It's very exciting, I'm very excited to share the album with you, and it will come out this year."

"Cure For Me" is generally about that people should not be so quick to accept criticism from others, and think they need to change or be "cured" just because they different. Her specific meaning about conversion therapy is not something you can easily interpret from the lyrics. He is what she said about "Heathens" in a live stream, it is about Eve but there is also a personal meaning to her, that she would not reveal, I think you are right it could be Mother Earth in the verse about the mother: youtu . be / WO1QTzF1uUc&t=266 "I think 'Heathens ' is something people call you, when you don't follow...ehm...when you don't act like people expect you to behave, and I'm very inspired by, especially the women who have fought for women like us today. Cause I know if we lived 400 years ago, we would definitely have been burned on the fire. I'm happy that I'm living now. Though I feel like I might have been burned in a previous life...ehm...cause I...yeah it makes sense. But yeah I was just very inspired by all these people that aren't accepted by these small communities in the world, and by religion too, who try their best but they don't fit in, because they are more human than the world or a religon sometimes allows you to be, or like a strict household, it's very hard. So I just wanted to make this liberating song about the beauty in just being imperfect and human. To me the song has a very specific meaning, but I'm trying to not be too specific. I want all of you to find your own meaning, that is why I'm just saying like general things. But for me it has a really, a really clear meaning behind it. But I don't want to tell too much, cause I want you all to find your own meaning. But it's one of my favorite from this album or my favorite single, and it represents a lot I think, or it is very in tune with how the rest of the album sounds. More than "Cure For Me" or "Giving In To The Love"."

Regarding the line from "The Innocent" you wondered about: "Drinking lava from the lake" could be an allusion to the lake of fire in Christianity, where sinners are punished: "But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death." Drinking from the lake of fire would then be sinning in the eyes of religion (pre-marital sex, same-sex relationships and so on), and could refer specifially to sex, as Aurora seems to say that sex and nakedness in reality is, or should be, innocent, but that we have made it into "something not pure."

Great reaction. And yes this album growing in me. It was so good from the start but now I think it is the best from these 4. Although previous ones was also great (in a little different way). Previous ones was more emotional, intimate and personal (which I am missing a little). This one is more mature, very versatile with great fusion between her insane singing/voice and instrumental part. And of course every Aurora song has incredible lyrics (often very very poetic - f.e. Everything Matters lyrics is for me a poetry). In my opinion her lyrics are often multi layered. You can read it f.e. more literally but you can also read it as a metaphor. F.e. you mentioned about meaning of a Heathens. I had several interpretations, but first one (and too be honest I like this one the most) was somewhat similar to yours first idea about mother nature. And this interpretation fits well. And this is only example - such multilayered lyrics you can find for many other Aurora songs.

I feel like aurora spun such a sad tale in this album. The tracklist started with 'everything matters', she notices her lover and gives in, then shes happy with not needing a cure, shes strong and defiant. then it starts to crack in 'you keep me crawling', but is followed by exist for love. im not really sure how to explain the three after that, but with 'a temporary high', its like someone is looking from outside in and realising what is going on. then she realises shes loving 'a dangerous thing', then it feels like shes almost taken in by the gods in the two songs after that. then she realises it could be a dream and shes been floating through life ever since she found out what was going on. then she goes to a little place called the moon, and leaves the world she was abused in. i probably didnt explain it well and she does a better job if this is in fact what it kind of means. of course this is only what i think it means
