There's a massive difference between constructive criticism but still understanding the other side, and tearing someone down because they don't share the same mentality as you. This fandom absolutely needs to learn that lesson, among much much more.

It's the same with the Gundam/Gunpla community, they are very toxic, rude, racist, etc. They judge too much on what type of show/gundam kit you like. I just wish everyone wouldn't be so judgmental and toxic. Theres needs to be some serious maturity throughout these fandoms.

I get your point. I personally won't leave the Fandom no matter how far the ship sinks because i fell i have a responsibility to try to help this fandom at least slightly, I can see why you would want to leave, but I do think this Fandom CAN rebound one day the problem now is monsterverse drawing in whiny kids and minus one bringing in immature arrogant idiots who want to destroy GxK which in turn makes older fans join in the madness I feel you man sorry you had to deal with that and as a godzilla fan I am truly embarrassed by what is going on and I understand you're stance on this Also, the thing on the women Jesus christ, that's horrible

I understand. I agree on everything you said despite that I never went to G-Fest in my entire life. I’ve been a fan of Godzilla and Kaiju for a very long time. However, I do face the fact that not all fanboys and fangirls are nice people. In fact, the sad truth is that not only the Godzilla fanbase, all fanbase has some extremely rude, immature, annoying, arrogant, toxic, and elitist fans either people who are fans of movies, tv shows, video games, board games, toys, books, comic books, art, animation, anime, cartoons, theme parks, music, cars, restaurants, and even food. Even though it’s true that some Godzilla fans are being very hateful and toxic, I don’t think the Godzilla fanbase have as much toxic fans as the Star Wars fanbase. As much as I love Star Wars, sadly the Star Wars fandom are more toxic than any other fandom which is why I don’t feel too excited for any future Star Wars projects and I wasn’t bothered to watch The Acolyte. Same with K-pop although I’m not usually into K-pop that much. This is good reason why I decided it’s better we should stick with the Universal Monsters. I know not all Universal Monsters fans are nice people but at least the Universal Monsters fanbase didn’t have as much toxicity as Star Wars. Anyway, I too don’t want to be part of any fandom when it comes fans who are too hateful.

This is such a very important video that many need to not only watch but understand the fact that behaviour like this continues is horrible. and yes i may not be innocent[i dont bully people but im sure you get it] but its a issue that needs to be not only addressed but stopped. the fact of constructive criticism is different to straight tearing/bullying somebody over an opinion. so for that i thank you.

I completely understand why you left and I don't blame you. I've decided to leave the Godzilla community because the fact that I was so fed up with adults constantly complaining about bandai and their sh. Monster arts figures along with the double standards in specific Godzilla groups on Facebook. For example, multiple people bash Zilla And everyone thinks it's okay, but as soon as I do the same thing to minya all of a sudden, it's considered annoying and toxic? I feel like this community is going to be as bad if not worse than the Star wars community. It's literally more toxic than the Jurassic Park. I will still be a fan of Godzilla just distance myself from specific groups.

First off, thanks for subscribing and for your service to our country. 2nd, man oh man, who are these people?! Are they shareholders at Bandai and Legendary pictures? I will be honest, all my life I have been a solitary enthusiast of all subjects I love. I grew up loving trains, and spent no more than 10 min around that Fandom thinking it couldn't get any worse than that. I guess I stand corrected. Last year I went to G fest and had a great time so I guess I was fortunate.

From my point of view i feel the fandom is hostile towards anyone who's slightly right of mao or holds traditional christian views. and i feel like a lot of people who are talking about it being toxic being a problem helped fan the flames for it being toxic and from stuff i have dug around are not angels themselves.

wasn't sure if my initial comment was clear enough but what i mean by "and i feel like a lot of people who are talking about it being toxic being a problem helped fan the flames for it being toxic and from stuff i have dug around are not angels themselves." i mean certain artist who i wont name here helped fan the flames leading the fandom to become a toxic left leaning echochamber, and from some of the stuff i have dug around and looked into they have a history of doing questionable things yet now want to act like an arbiter for the fandom despite they themselves seemingly partaking in questionable acts. which is why i scoff at the notion of some suggesting they want to make it "inclusive" yet show any form of views that might be different from theirs then you are ostracized. i also find it odd some people suggest Godzilla should be a soapbox for their own views while defending Alyssa who she herself thinks some topics just wouldn't mesh well at all with Godzilla, i dont think having political themes equals it's free game for using it as a soapbox for any political flavor of the month. i often can't help to wonder how they would treat Eiji Tsuburaya is he was alive today because i can't imagine someone who was catholic in the 1950's being treated kindly by today since i imagine he probably might of held different views from contemporary views within the fandom

Good video. I've never been one to join a fandom, but hearing Alyssa's story and watching KaijuKim's video just made me realize I made the right call to not join it from the beginning. Hearing about pedophile-type behavior & what Alyssa went through made me decide to not get involved at all. I **did not know** these problems reached this extent; I knew the fandom could get hair-rippingly frustrating at point, (from admittedly what little I saw), but I never thought I'd hear of this depravity. I never even encountered it during my peruses. But now that I've, I'll happily stomp out whatever degenerates I find. These people deserve nothing less. I know I'll be keeping a SHARP eye out for this. If I can do my part in stopping these depraved activities, then count me in.

Hello sir, I want to let you know that my heart goes out to you and everyone else who’s had to face such terrible behavior for these cruel people. Up until recently I had no idea it was that bad. I don’t get to meet a lot of people face to face because I live so far away. I’ve always wanted to go to G-Fest from the moment I found out there was such a thing. Now my perception has changed. This kind of behavior happens there? Maybe I shouldn’t ever go after all. I understand how you, Kaiju Kim and Alyssa feel. I recently was a target myself and the excuse is that it was a bad joke. As another guy who had to put up with how big of jackasses the fans can be...your decision is completely valid and you're not alone on it. It really is pathetic how if someone doesn't share their worldview, like, at any topic (whether it be favorite godzilla, powerscaling, versus battles etc...) they automatically feel they have the right to talk you down instead of try and discuss it in a respectful manner. Sorry, I don't think you're getting the situation here---people like you just make this fandom's problems worse by saying "Oh, it's just CULTURE, why are you complaining about it, this fandom has always been toxic". I liked Godzila KOTM, GvK was Alright imo. Then when I saw this announced and watched the trailer ai hudt lost interest. It all just looked like a video-game to me. I hav t paid much attention to rhe fandom. I cant watched too much cgi monsters fighting. Its just not the same as oldskool Godzilla/Kaiju movies where you can see its all practical and people have spent ages building all the sets and people in suits.
