THE GOLDEN ROAD
The Golden Road takes us on a journey along the sublime and sophisticated musical roads of the ancient civilizations of Afghanistan, India, and Iran. Three ambassadors of the music of these influential cultures come together to transcend borders and play their rich, ancestral melodies, seldom heard together. The dialogues between the rubab of Afghan master Homayoun Sakhi, the bamboo flute of the prodigious Shashank Subramanyam, and the Persian setar of virtuoso Kiya Tabassian are enriched and accompanied by the dazzling playing of percussionist Hamin Honari.

LA ROUTE DORÉE
Ce programme nous transporte sur les routes musicales sublimes et sophistiquées des anciennes civilisations d’Afghanistan, d’Inde et d’Iran. Trois maîtres de ces musiques se retrouvent pour transcender les mélodies an¬cestrales de ces cultures extrêmement riches et influentes, rarement entendues ensemble. Les dialogues entre le rubab du maître afghan Homayoun Sakhi, la flûte de bambou du prodigieux Shashank Subramanyam, et le sétar persan du virtuose Kiya Tabassian, sont enrichis et accompagnés du jeu éblouissant du percussionniste Hamin Honari.

Thank you. I have not written poetry in years. But this awoke the poem within me which came forth and I share it with you in gratitude. The Golden Road A dreamscape of undulating desert and snowcapped mountains Below the tiny figure of a Sufi dervish from his heart effulgent Sparks strewn forth from his hands across the heavens, forming galaxies, Whirling in a Kosmic spiral, the dance divine of love and light, From which springs matter and consciousness, the secret spark, And the water of love, calls forth, a call to prayer, Answered, as life hidden within each seed, each seed sheltering the soul, The soul which bursts forth into life to reach with deep yearning, Every fiber possessed by the holy longing, to reach strive for the stars, the light, the love, and a return home

Merci de nous avoir emmené sur les rives d'un fleuve ensoleillé, où la lente ballade des eaux lasses de la chaleur étouffante, nous mène à travers les terres rouges du désert. Mais bientôt un oiseau nous survole et nous accompagne sur le chemin. Trouvant refuge dans un temple ancien, habité des dieux mystérieux des anciens temps, nous offrant sa fraîcheur pour un instant, avant de repartir plus avant à la fraîcheur du soir. Enfin les lumières de la ville apparaissent et le son des tambours, de la fête et de la joie sonnent à nos oreilles. Chantez, dansez, profitez la nuit vous couvrent de ses bras sensuels et doux. ✨👏✨
