Isaiah Collier began the season as the #1 overall recruit and a potential candidate to be the #1 pick, however, he's had an underwhelming start. Questions about his turnovers, shot and defense lead the way and could make him a tricky eval should he continue in the direction he was in December.

6’5 is the most insane stretch i’ve ever seen. the picture with drake london, bronny, caleb williams and him he isn’t even taller than bronny in the photo. 6’1 to 6’5 is a massive difference at the guard spot

Got the chance to watch Collier live against Oregon, while I was impressed by his combination of fluidity and power, I wasn’t very impressed with his scoring or playmaking, although I know his playmaking is better than what he showed in that game based on what I’ve seen from other games, he also seemed pretty out of control at times while getting to the basket. I think a second year in college would be very beneficial for his game but I don’t think that’s gonna happen most likely.

There’s a pic of him and Drake London who was measured at 6’3 7/8 at the combine and Collier looks 2 inches shorter at best. 6’5 listing is insane lol.

Bro he is not 6'2. If hes not 6'5 then hes 6'4, his height does not look that off at all. Seems to have perfect height for a point guard and a little undersized as a 2.

@@jojoprocess2820 see i would've thought hes around 6'2.5-6'3 without shoes, but i jus seen that pic with him and drake london and it is pretty damning lol interested to see what he measures at later on this year

@@jojoprocess2820 No he's not. Go look at the pic this guy is referring to. He's clearly 2 inches shorter than 6'4 Drake London, and about 1 inch taller than 6'1 Caleb Williams. Collier is 6'2. His billed height is highly exaggerated.

Idk why they list him as 6’5.Irl he barely looks 6’4 in shoes tbh I have him around 6’2 6’3 without shoes so he not even this big guard that people make him out to be.he’s the same size and height as scoot

@@thecaptain9212so he’s probably under 6’3 so like 6’2.5-6’2.75.It ain’t a bad height but it’s deffo a reach for usc to claim him as 6’5

He has fallen pretty far.. I was never high on him when people were calling for him to be top 3 early in the season. I don’t see anything special to him other than his ability to get down hill and finish. He is sub-par in every other skill set.

It’s a weak class and he has some self-creation potential. But his handles look pretty loose in these clips so maybe he’s so so far away from being a primary option

Amen. 10 turnovers per game. Drives into 4 guys for no reason. But remember he is point shaving so if he cuts that out he probably is much better than what u or I have seen.

I'm not significantly concerned with the jumpshot. Passes the eye test. Touch looks fine. Form looks decent too. There might be some leg to body transfer stuff to figure out. But i think he'll figure it out.

Not sure if you remember Jason Kidd in his California days, but this kid reminds me of him a great deal. Even his questionable jumper. J. Kidd is an inch or 2 taller I think, but when the ball is in their hands and they are pushing the pace, it’s incredible to see the foot speed to dribble comparisons. His feet just move faster than his actual dribble if that makes sense…

Your prospect breakdown videos are the best on KZfaq, but I'm afraid I've got to call you out for this one. Somehow you've managed to cherry pick highlights that make Collier look like a stud with a few rough edges....despite the fact he's been bad, like really bad. Why have you filled the "defensive lapses" section with the few clips of him playing acceptable defense? I watch and recommend your videos because typically you give a balanced breakdown of a player. This time I feel like you REALLY want Collier to be good, and the video suffers for that. Again, shout-out for the usual high quality of your videos, hopefully this is just a one off 🤞

I’m not seeing it with him. I don’t think the downhill game works for him at the next level as well. No off ball game, defense is weak. I would hesitate to draft.

He needs to stay in school. Point guards and centers shouldn’t declare for the draft until they develop an overall NBA Ready skillset.

Highschool ball translates to nba better than college. - Iman Shumpman Collier better off declaring and developing accordingly to the NBA he is a completed PG a floor general. Perfect for the spurs wit Wemby and Vassell.

This dude has bust written all over him. PG's who are turnover prone are always a red flag. Add in the fact that he's only 6'2 with a 6'4 wingspan, and doesn't shoot the 3 or even FT's well at all, and you have a serious problem. I wouldn't touch this kid the top-10 if I'm an NBA team. And no way he goes top-5 like some mock drafts that I've seen. Zero chance.

I think He is too talented of a creator to pass in the top10 he is among highest potential guard you can have Maybe he just getting jitters and learnjng the college system. Tatum was like that but ended up being the Best player in Zo’s draft. PGs tend to figure it out later
