it shows the collusion of these propaganda arms of the modern golf industry. how else you gonna keep selling $500 novelty drivers, and $5000 sets of novelty clubs that golfers are supposed to 'upgrade' constantly? hhahahaha... you need lots of PROPAGANDA. lots of meaningless metrics, like 'club head speed' and 'launch angle' and 'spin rate' to dazzle the mindless elites into regularly wasting more money on equipment that never makes a difference on their scorecard...ever. because golf is not about overpriced novelty equipment...at least it wasn't when it was golf...it's about mastery of the swing and the game...played on a LEVEL playing field. today's game is a mockery. i watch these guys hit driver 9 iron to par 5's and call it 'eagle'...not even nicklaus made such eagles in his life!! even nicklaus used to hit mid and long irons into 450 yard par 4's...because that is golf. What these guys exist to do is unfortunate...though clearly a profitable blast for them....being a dancing monkey for corporate ownership has it's advantages!

The energy of KZfaq golf, but with professional commentary is what the golf space needs right now. Most golfers dream of playing on tour. Adding the energy of a live broadcast is part of that dream and this proves the success of this is undeniable. Looking forward to the next one!

To make it to a full on production from NBC is ridiculous knowing where it all started. Has to be a dream come true. To everyone involved in the broadcast, amazing job. Congratulations to Good Good!👏 and to everyone who participated and specially to those who attended. We are witnessing something truly remarkable. I typically watch the PGA primarily for Tiger Woods and whoever the current best player on tour. This platform is so unique and special that I get to watch all the KZfaqrs I follow. There’s a unique personal connection to watch and follow somebody I watch on KZfaq unlike watching the PGA tour. Keep Going everyone!!
@stop736
@stop736 3 ай бұрын
You make a good point, I’ve never watched a PGA tournament where I honestly wanted to watch everyone in the field play a hole or two. But in this tournament with players I identify more with, I’m interested in everyone playing! I also really liked the commentary. Which could’ve turned out to be really corny or really condescending depending on the commentators. These guys were funny and they fit the laid back vibe of the tournament. The PGA tour will never let themselves be broadcast like this. Not now at least. But I think there’s a place for this in LIV on down to the smaller tours. They just need a way to make viewers care about the players, and that not easy. You can’t fake that, it’s either authentic or it’s obviously a marketing stunt. Having players with a lot of social media experience would be a start. Point is, golf is going to be, and should be, more like this in a lot of ways.

@@stop736 Getting to know the PGA/LIV pros personalities in KZfaq videos makes a massive difference. Will make more people watch the tour events if they feel like they know the players more. @stop736
@stop736 3 ай бұрын
@@pierregodeau4286 Absolutely agree…I think that more and more players will also see how much they can benefit by having an online presence. And it’ll be easier for the casual fan to get to know a player and start following him or her mainly because they like their KZfaq videos. And not as much about how good of a golfer they are. It’s interesting, where this could go if it’s done right. I’m happy to be around to watch! 😅

Love Good Good seen just about every one but this was hard to watch . I get they need to make money but this KZfaq part was like watching commercials with a touch of golf. At one point I’m watching a commercial that cuts to a commercial. 90% of golfers barely even shown, what was it one putt by bustajack shown . Also would b better just listening to hot mikes instead of having announcers. IMO still amazing the work they put in to accomplish this! That can’t be denied! I rate it a 5 out of 10 !

Right? Some I don’t think got shown at all , others like bustajack maybe 1 putt. I don’t even remember seeing Bubbie ? Guess they went with PGA style , just show featured group and the best overall shots . Others must’ve had no great shots is all I can think of .

@@agentate3814 I’m not buying the “no great shots” lol finch and trottie for instance finished near the top… did not see either of them one single time. They must’ve hit some good ones to get all those birdies. Apparently Ryan Sheckler was on a team? Never saw em!

Last years GG Open was so much better - proper golf, great production. This was neither broadcast nor youtube… And of course missing the last half didn`t help, so waiting,for the GG video.

Thanks for half of the live coverage of the "last two groups in the Good Good Desert Open". I guess the other content creators, who have no doubt attended at their own expense (certainly sacrificing their schedules at least), were thrilled with their zero live coverage. The Grant/Garrett/Micah/Bryan Bros love-in was cool, glad we got to see every second of it 😒

You realize every one of them likely had their own cameras going. They'll all post content from this soon I'm sure. Making their own money and getting their own views.
@ThatDrivingBeatLeeds
@ThatDrivingBeatLeeds 3 ай бұрын
@morantrent67 and you also realise this was billed as a live event, on one of the top 3 golf channels on YT? The exposure of the event is what they were going for, not to give replays to their existing audience.
@morantrent67
@morantrent67 3 ай бұрын
@ThatDrivingBeatLeeds it's the good good desert open... their name is on it. You're foolish if you thought for one second they'd just be giving mad airtime to a bunch of dudes who are allowed to film their own content and then distribute that for only their personal benefit, on GGs name and dime nonetheless. That's just nonsense.
@ThatDrivingBeatLeeds
@ThatDrivingBeatLeeds 3 ай бұрын
@morantrent67 of course. I'm fully aware of that, and gave commented as such on many threads in the build up. GG were doing this entirely for themselves; a "be there or be square" type event. It's just clearer now though to ALL the viewing audience that this was never a creator event. Clever marketing and hoodwinking many

PROS: revolutionised the golf industry, first of its kind, free on youtube! Good coverage, communication, way better than netflix cup, enjoyed the overall broadcast. CONS: only good good member and a few others are broadcasted and not the other players, and not comminicating clearly that the second part will be on peacock, which is not available every where. I only could watch the youtube part.

Not picking a platform available internationally was a huge L. Peacock doesnt allow viewership in Canada. Most of the people had to find twitch streams to watch the event.

Honestly had no idea Peacock wasn’t available in Canada. Big miss for Peacock. I will say, probably not like GoodGood had their pick of any service. They partnered with NBC for all the production and commentary and Peacock is an NBC service so I’d assume that’s why.

Could be, but its abit ridiculous that other viewers had to screen stream the peacock stream on twitch for people around the world to watch. Their viewership numbers could have been much better.@@BugattiDane

@wrenc7738 I get that, it is their event and they obviously want to use it as a huge marketing piece. Why wouldn't you. There's a fine line though, too much overindulgence can have the opposite effect. That being said, it's all a learning curve and they've done an amazing thing.
