That ending was one of the greatest plot twists I have ever seen. Nobody would’ve guessed it at first, but when you go back and analyze ronald from start to finish it starts to kind of make sense

This could have been a great movie. It tackles important issues and the character ensemble fit together well. Important scenes were cut back or left on the cutting-room floor. The difference between real life and fiction is that fiction has to be believable. The plot asked us to be too forgiving. As Samuel Goldwyn said, let's have some new clichés. But I liked it.

For those who still don't get what the story means, I have a rough idea. The teacher had some beef with ally's father. Remember his requirements to do the ransom trade with the father. This also explains how "the end justifies the means" mentioned in the video

*******Spoiler alert ***************************** Here is my Thought..Teacher was the Kidnapper, His neighbor is his wife, The reason he had large amount of cash is because of previous scams he and his wife able to pull off, not due to insurance money. Though everyone is usual suspects here, least suspected one is the main suspect. He got his new car for free, became hero in everyone's eye, The reason he gave away his pet tortoise to ally bf, because they were running away at the end. Though it seemed like ally's father or bf could be suspects, it was actually his neighbor helping him taking care of victim when he took care of police.

More than likely it was not so much that he was blind, he wasn't ready for her beforehand. The attraction to Ally woke him up to what was before him (his neighbor) and that it was a real possibility for him.

@@alexiahunter3058, You shouldn't feel bad; they moved on before you had a clue. We all choose poorly at times, or it would not end. Everyone.... almost everyone, goes through the same thing sometimes. Others just stay in bad relationships that slowly kill them and their life force. Do you want to stay in a bad relationship that sucks the life force and energy out of you? Thank the clown for leaving! Now you have another chance to find someone who deserves you and wants you. Today it's hard for everyone to find someone, men and women alike, young old and everyone one else.

Some of the background music does not fit the movie. When it gets very emotional the music was joyful when it gets joyful the music was emotional, some of it

I think that's the point tho. If you think about it the movie is very disturbing and so does the music. Could also explain what goes through someones head as of the teacher. Emotional shit going on yes but the music is joyful as if nothing is wrong

Oh my god! The teacher was indeed brilliant. The moment my philosophy teacher quoted " the ends do not justify the means", I was thinking very hard to contradict it but I failed. Then Just that he did it. Gosh! He's incredible!

@@honestlair2340Your philosophy teacher was wrong. There are many times the ends justify the means. Like if you have to shoot someone in self defense or take out a mortgage in order to have a nice house to raise your family in, or do exploratory surgery if you are a doctor to make a diagnosis etc. Life is full of them.
