Vehicles filmed at Dealerships are For Sale. Make sure to visit the dealerships website for detail info about each vehicle. If your watching a video thats older than 90 days you can expect that vehicle to most likely already being sold, unless its a new car.
FYI - Charleston Car Videos on KZfaq Started in 2011. Back in 2008 is when I started filming cars as a car salesman to give people a better way to see a new or used vehicle. Over the years I ended up selling over 450 vehicles from doing videos. Today 1000's of vehicles have sold from people watching my car reviews in America.

The first time that you jumped the battery in that vehicle, because of the surge, you fried the "CEM" which is the Central Electronic Module. So it took out the DIM ( driver's instrument module) aka the Dash display, it took out the climate control, it took out your seat and it took out anything else that wanted to at that time. My guess is the power windows also didn't work, your blinkers will work but you won't hear them and you have to shut off the lights leaving the vehicle or they stay on..... Mind of its own. I have an XC90 2003 and I have the exact same problem with it because the battery died and someone jumped it without plugging in the OEM II reader to let it know that it was getting a "new battery". Volvos are very very finicky and they can't be jumped that way. You have to make sure to have the OEM II plugged into the CEM in order to tell it that you're jumping the vehicle otherwise it that's what it just did and it's $1,000 fix. It's a great vehicle but the electrical is crap. The sun roof rails leak and underneath the wiper blade on the driver side leaks which is directly above where the CEM sits so it gets wet and it fries.

Selling a car with all these issues? A reputable dealer would have fixed everything before putting it up for sale. Some single mother with 3 kids that just got her income tax check doesn’t want a project. They want reliable.

Then buy a ‘98 civic, not a specialty European import. That Volvo, the way it sits is a good deal for somebody. That somebody is a euro enthusiast who enjoys old euro shit boxes and has the time, money and knowledge (or enthusiasm) to address issues. That somebody is not a single mom who needs a daily dependable vehicle. That parent should have the brains to realize an aging 14 year old Swedish luxury suv isn’t a smart choice for a vehicle. I bet that dealer paid $2k for that vehicle and after a detail and transportation probably put $300 into it. Simple math says that’s $950 left to pay a sales guy’s commission, business costs (insurance, gas, rent, taxes) and ya know.. make some profit because that’s what a business tries to do. Wrong person looking at the wrong car- Every car salesman

Jaw... wrong and wrong. A issues should be taken care of. Personally I'd check everything before buying and walk if it's not in good shape. It's easy to flip cars. It's hard to have a good reputation as a car dealer. Some people like to take advantage of dumb people. I've owned multiple volvos and alot of dumb people like to think because its European than it's a money pit and unreliable. That's also wrong. Volvos are the safest cars on the road and I'd take one before any ford dodge ram chrysler chevy p.o.s made in Mexico. Just dont be dumb. And if you're a reputable dealer dont sell a poor woman with three kids looking for a reliable car a p.o.s that you did no work on selling at a premium.

I got a 2006 XC90 with 200,000 miles in 2019 for $2500. Pretty much all the issues with the XC90 in the video mine did not have. I did have some other issues though. Primarily check engine light, noises in front suspension, few broken interior bits, blown speakers, that kind of stuff. I've poured another $2500 but the car is basically new in some aspects now! I have another Volvo with 265,000 miles and running great so I know these will last. I don't mind the investment for a reliable and safe vehicle.

I'll bet there was (or still is) about 2-3 gallons of water under those floor mats just chillin. That's what causes the guages/console to go. Water leaks in behind the firewall from the sunroof drains in the A-frame, the blower motor intake under the hood and also heard the ac drip hose can cause it. I just tackled this problem myself. Great vehicle so far other than that common issue. The 2.5t is a solid motor/drivetrain. Those xc90's are little swedish tanks.
@alexanderblack1261
@alexanderblack1261 Жыл бұрын
How did u fix having same problem
@bmetal21
@bmetal21 Жыл бұрын
@@alexanderblack1261 first thing I did was take out the A Frame panel (between front windshield and door) on either side and checked the drain lines for the sunroof. The driver side was detached. I replaced the end of the hose as it was full of muck and deteriorated. I then siliconed the hose back into its drain hole to the frame. I did this on both sides as the hose design is piss poor. I also removed the cowling just under the windshield in the engine bay. On the passenger side, once removed, you will see a plastic protective semi-covering over a plastic removable "barrier" that is supposed to cover the entrance to the blower motor. Water has a tendency to leak past this other poor design... so I cleaned the area and then siliconed the rig back in place, effectively sealing it off from the window trough (which is where all your windshield water drains when raining). Also check and make sure the drain hose for the blower motor is connected from the basin to the frame as it can leak from there. The last thing to check is the drain hose from the AC drip reservoir. You need to make sure it also runs out the frame. These are the main causes of leakage into the floor panels. There a few videos that kind of half-assedly show the fixing of these issues out here on the tube, but I mostly just used common mechanical sense when I couldn't find anything über specific. Hope that helps. Oh and p.s. - I spent 2 days with the doors open and the floor (with foam and all) peeled upwards with a fan blowing either side to dry out as best I could before i started trying to fix the drains and whatnot. It's a pain but worth it.

@@franciscosaca2767 it would be a good car to buy, if its been maintained properly. At 130,000 miles it would require a timing belt change, all brakes inspected, the front shocks upper strut mount bushings inspected. Those are typical items for this car. The five cylinder engine is generally very reliable. It is not uncommon to get 250 to 300,000 miles from these if maintained. Also don't let the drains clog up or you'll have interior problems.

If you try and sell this Volvo for that price and rip some poor person off. Your in my opinion a piece of shit... I've owned 3 of these, currently driving a 2005 identical to this one... WAY WAY to much wrong with it... You have no idea what kind of car your messing with.. at all... I would not pay $500 for it... It'll cost around 2 grand to properly fix. Dirt off theres an electronic issue, and no it's not the alternator.

You obviously know nothing about the 2.5T. it's the best engine available in this year XC90. It's no slouch either. Best fuel economy and best reliability hand down. V8 is made by Yamaha and is well known for having more issues.

@@kodiakradio7510 I know enough to know that transmission is not reliable enough to get one.

@@Redridininyohood lol obviously you don't. I have 175k on my original transmission and running strong. You must be thinking of the junk gm transmission put behind the 2.9 turbo inline 6. Those were junk. Nothing wrong with the 4 speed behind the 5 cylinder

The cars are nice but the transmission goes bad very easy their French struts go out before you know it only the new they usually need new timing belts So be careful if you buy this car
