With the whole world coming together right now to play games in Brazil, the Doodle team really wanted to create games that everyone with a phone could also play. The result: The 2016 Fruit Games! We hung out with the Doodle team and found out how they made the games, and even played around with some early prototypes. Leave us a comment about your favorite game. (Nat’s is water polo, Lo’s is golf.)

I was very impressed by the doodle team early this year when the phonetic translation of Chinese character 谷歌 popped up on my search screen. It was Google's way of celebrating Zhou Youguang's (the Father of Pinyin) 112th birthday! Now I also know their cool games!!

Thanks for this episode and for the games! Is there any way to try the prototypes such as the tap to run strawberry? And will they be open sourced? Would love to have a sample code to include little games like this in my Android apps, or in an iOS one.

+Nat and Lo I'm actually using the latest version from Google Play Store (it's a beta version) and APK Mirror. I also tried latest stable release and nothing as well 😭

The idea of this show is good. But interesting questions about internal processes are rarely asked and answered here. Like, for this particular episode: How many people worked on the game? Who did what? How did they do it? It would be interesting to see the process of making the game. So, the title "Doodle team reveals their game design process" is not entirely true.

My phone can't play it (updated the latest version), I touch the doodle and it only search "Olympic", So sad that I can't play those games. (armv7l, android 5.1, 512MB RAM, Custom Chinese Phone, Masstel N410) 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

"another challenge that the team had to work with is to make these games that anybody can play what phone they had, what language they speak or what age they are". How about if you don't have a phone? At least not a phone with movement sensors? How many phones have got that? Their statement about anybody being able to play the games is just a load of bullshit.
