With 15 contestants from 8 States at Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima on 4th November 2022. Irene Dkhar from Meghalaya was crowned Miss Northeast 2022.

Well deserving candidate, i think Judges did the right decision. The show was good,the organizers did a great job. and of course that HOST she did an excellent job, She's beautiful,calm and sounds very natural without any masala,Keep it up. proud to be North East👍.

I’m so proud of seeing these beautiful young vibrant ladies representing their roots with such poise, all well put together , confident , and yes beauty with brain. I also noticed that most of them chose to follow a profession that is social, cultural and public welfare oriented which shows clearly that these ladies are socially informed and are aware of the atrocities that NE as a whole faces. This platform also shows NE beauties are not less than any other, and how it’s organised and presented is Global standard. Much love ❤

To discuss Social issue with the world leaders- 1. Poverty (genuine) 2. Education (genuine) 3. Women safety (genuine) 4. Healthcare in the northeast ( really?)

She ain't wrong though. We don't really have the best hospitals or healthcare. Even medical colleges are scarce. Every time somebody has a major health case, he gets referred to places like Velore, Chennai, etc.

If you ever get a chance to represent yourself infront of world leaders, you could shed light into what you have seen first hand in your life and what issues that are really relevant to where you're from. The Healthcare system is so focal and needs alot of support from higher authorities.

@@moondoll7592 if you really want to discuss only about the Northeast i think there are more issue which is needed to be discuss than the healthcare. Healthcare services are way much better in guwahati, tezpur and shillong. But if u put up an issue of the Healthcare only on Arunachal pradesh then it will sound genuine. But in the northeast i Don't think Healthcare services are that much bad.

@@studyiq8322 Nope its bad. Surely some states are abit improved than the rest but its always referred to other major states in the country. A simple mistake like an unwanted cut in a biliary duct during a cholecystectomy (gall bladder removal procedure) and they can't manage it anywhere in northeast and have to be sent to, you guessed it, Vellore.

All the contestants are indigenous of their respective states except Tripura ..It's very sad to see Bangladeshi people and Bangladeshi culture being promoted through Tripura ..It would have been better if the contestant being not indigenous and still promoting the culture of indigenous ..
