Mike Impero has authored several books around the history of Whatcom County. His latest is "The Grand Lady of Mount Baker" about the brains, brawn and determination that created the Mount Baker Lodge. Although the lodge had a short life, from 1927 to 1931, its stories and place in Whatcom County's social structure live on. Mike's presentation is infused with incredible photographs, personal stories and lively tales from the first ideas to the bitter destruction of the lodge up in Heather Meadows at the end of the Mount Baker highway.
