Who said it is bid'ah? It is actually better to pray in the dark. You guys call everything bid'ah nowadays whats next, wearing wool socks while praying is a bid'ah? having LED lights is a bid'ah? speaeking is a bid'ah? giving a talk between the qiyaam is a bid'ah?
