Jack has dreamed of climbing the Grand ever since he was 8 years old. He and Colton tackle nearly 14 thousand feet of sheer rock and face their greatest technical challenge to date to summit the tallest peak in the range.

Watched this before I climbed the grand. Stumbled across it again a year later. Was going to do PG or Exum ridge, but got caught in weather early morning and waited it out at the black dike so we ended up doing OS. Climbing isn’t that technical but the exposure on OS is something else. Climbing the grand whatever route you take is an amazing experience.

Since you say that this is just the beginning, my suggestion is that you work at gaining the necessary skills and experience to do these types of adventures on your own (meaning the two of you without a guide). When you depend on yourselves to research, plan, and then ultimately do it while depending on no one but yourselves to make decisions, that's when you truly have adventures. Just get lots of easy climbs and difficult scrambles under your belt first, and you'll soon gain the confidence you need. When you're ready, I highly recommend Pigeon Spire in the Bugaboos, Mount Assiniboine, and Mount Edith Cavell. All of which are similar in difficulty to the Grand Teton, but all have more impressive scenery. Other mountains that are a bit more difficult, but I would also put on a must do list are Snow Patch and Bugaboo Spires in the Bugs, Mount Sir Donald at Roger's Pass, and Pingora & Wolf's Head in the Winds.

Hey guys - first, I’m REALLY EXCITED to find this here, so I just subscribed!! I have watched for about 5 years ( is that possible you have been doing your program that long?) - I know I have missed some episodes, but have recorded. My question is this: I was watching today (July 4, 2020) and the episode was about taking a canoe trip in Minnesota? - (missed the first 15 minutes and picked it up late 🙁) The canoe trip was to ‘Bunny Island’ - seeing you guys was kinda cute holding these fluffy animals - a little different from climbing those incredible mountains in the west. (I’m an animal lover so ANY animals warm my heart) - That place was amazing and kudos to that teen who was bringing the bunnies to that island to train to be “therapy” animals. The teen was wearing a “PeaceBunny Island” t-shirt, and gave each of you a T-shirt at the end. So, my question is is it possible to purchase a couple of those T-shirts? It would be nice to give money to help out & it would be great to wear one of those cool T-shirts!! I live in a suburb of Michigan - I have learned a ton, and because of this show, my husband and I want to take a trip heading out west I guess shooting for next summer if the coronavirus “situation” allows. Keep on trekking guys!!

Senza credermi quindi. In quei giorni ero in forma. Mi spettava ľHalf dome e il Capitan nelle settimane successive.

The last week in July and the first two weeks in August will be your best bet for the warmest weather and least amount of ice and or no ice. If you are early you can expect ice if you go later as in the last week in August and into September you can get into snow and cold weather where you will need gloves. You can see by this film that they were possibly early in the season because they were in some ice near the top and were wearing gloves. Vibram soled hiking boots work great. My Scarpa hiking boots do a great job of gripping the rock. I'm thinking my black rubber gardening gloves from wal-mart will grip on cold rock... but i don't want to be up there when its cold where I need gloves.
