Last week we told you The Grand Tour with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May were filming in Zimbabwe. We left them at the shores of Lake Kariba but now we continue to follow them on their route to the Victoria Falls.

This year, while I was working at Bumi Hills Foundation /Anti Poaching Unit (Lake Kariba ), Jeremy Clarkson came to stay for two days up at the Bumi Hills Safari Lodge. He loves this country, the animals and Africa. Very nice chap. 🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼

All four.... Richard Hammond's Workshop (later this month). The Grand Tour in Mauretania (probably before Christmas). Clarkson's Farm (probably early 2024) The Grand Tour in Zimbabwe (probably halfway 2024).

This just occurred to me. If Zimbabwe does end up being their last adventure, and America was their first back in 2007 with Top Gear, the trio will have traveled from A to Z. Should that prove to be the case, that would be an amazing way to close things out.

@speedvaxer Sadly, it seems Amazon and Clarkson are parting ways. The decision was made to have a grand finale before it ends. If that is the case, it is quite sad as I really enjoyed the series. I hope they will reconsider or continue the series

I was in Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe in my early 20s... now in my very early 50s... I camped on Livingston island after kayaking down the Zambezi.. and walked out to the edge of Victoria Falls, it was the dry season. The next day my Mum and I (the rest of the family, at the time, chickening out) white water rafted from the falls all the way down the lower part of the Zambezi. To my dying day when getting pushed out of the raft by a wave and being caught by a lovely bloke from NI that held onto me until I popped out of the whirlpool like a cork from a champagne bottle and the guide shouts happily... oh look crocodiles... that look between us was special. I too up my front left position and every time a large wave came in again I held the rope...

If it is, Botswana was one of their first really big cheap car adventures, so what a way to close out their epic adventures together than to return to a place where they started. Speaking of that special, when they first set off James turned toward Zimbabwe, a country the BBC wasn’t allowed in (at the time at least), so it’s cool they finally get to explore it together in a special now, with Jeremy back in a Lancia no less.

Not a chance. It takes at least 3 months to get through the terabytes footage then another 3-6 to edit and have it approved for release
