I had the pleasure of interviewing "Tiny" for a radio show I hosted a couple of years prior to his death. Very humble man, whom I admired. Rest in peace, Herbert. Safe travels, Jordan.

Thanks so much for remembering Tiny Tim. I remember him when i was a young girl; He was on Johnny Carson a great deal and I remember when he married his 1st wife on live TV. He was always a very charming, sweet man who treated everyone with respect. That is why he stayed and played for those who took the time to wait, even if it was just a couple of folks. God bless his memory. He was the best of the original performers. You don't see that anymore.

I was lucky to meet Tiny Tim in a hotel elevator making his way to his show. My girlfriend and I were just trying to get to the roof of the only big building in Torrance Ca. He was quite large and literally the most gentle man I have ever met. He kindly gave us a table stage side for the show even though we were under age for the venue. Good show too. I liked him.

I grew up in Rochester MN. One day in the 80's at the local mall I hear someone yell "HI TINY TIM!", I look over and Tiny Tim turns around and waves and then continues walking his way. It wasn't until years later I read he lived in Minnesota. And that's my Tiny Tim story.

I saw Tiny Tim do a live show in Cleveland in the mid-80's, most people were there for the spectacle but The Man did the show like a true professional and sure won the crowd over. They roared like a lion at the end.

I remember when I was very young in the early 70s and my class was on a field trip at an airport. We were all standing near a fence where the planes parked and people unboarded the plane.. then I heard the teacher say "Is that Tiny Tim? It is!" Kids...you can go home and tell your parents you saw Tiny Tim! I had no clue who he was, just have the memory of a tall, slender man with long, brown, curly hair walking into an airport terminal.

As a kid I thought he was crazy. Now that I'm grown up, I realize it was mostly a character he created. Like Marilyn Monroe, she created this dizzy blonde act she'd do in public, and it did work for her. She became a house hold name. Now I'm sure she was far more intelligent than she seemed. As a kid you don't realize all that. Anyway I see Tiny Tim in a different light now. I bet he was a great guy.
