@Turkish__Model I think the river Humber or “Humbr” in the pre-Celtic ancient aboriginal language is one of our oldest words in England. It simply meant “river”. The Humber river would have been a tributary into the great river that is now the English channel 🤓

Thank you, North 02 -for The fascinating, kind of mysterious, and inspiring videos you create about our ancient ancestors-humans in all their forms and stages of development-make me smarter and profoundly affect my fundamental understanding of our earliest origins. They enhance my comprehension of current human nature and our existence as modern humans-more educated, wise, tolerant, enlightened, advanced, secular and scientific. The more we learn about our ancient and mysterious ancestors, from Homo floresiensis to the Neanderthals, the more we realize that we stand today on the shoulders of thousands of generations spanning millions of years. These ancient humans, our humans extinct forebears, created and utilized advanced language and communication, technological tools, symbolism, abstraction, organization in largegroups, and the gradual, consistent progress that led us to the present day-the era of science and an enlightened, tolerant, and advanced society. Research into human evolution, as presented in your fantastic videos, sheds new light on the nature of our humanity, which, in my view, might be transforming us into a new kind of "humans"-universal, educated, creative, tolerant, humane, secular, liberal, and guided solely by scientific methods. This new kind of "human" may no longer be Homo sapiens (the wise human) but rather a new species of "Homo-science"🤔 (the scientific human), formed today after millions of years, step by step, with tremendous and determined effort, integrating all ancient elements to create perhaps a "new humans." "The homo-science" In new society - unified, educated, enlightened, and no longer needs wars but follows scientific methods and learns consistently from both past mistakes and progress of our humans ancestors. Videos about human evolution, and origin of humans, including all are brothers and ancient uncesrtors- in my view, are some of the most fascinating, inspiring, mysterious, and profoundly powerful in showcasing the evolving "spirit of humanity" over millions of years. Especially in the charming way you present them, combined with your calm and unique voice, (kind of ASMR🤪) wonderful artistry, and your simple and captivating ability to explain things in a scientifically clear, useful, intriguing, and exciting manner, these videos deeply impact me and, I believe, all viewers of this important, wonderful, and advanced channel.Thank you, as always 🌟🍃🍂

I just wanted say I love all your videos and when you talk about the stone tools that our prehistoric ancestors used, a major core memory for me replays and I always think about when I was a kid. I grew up in northern Alberta on a First Nations Reservation. After the fall/spring hunts we (my family) would clean the hides of any moose, deer, elk or bison they hunted. They would stretch the hide out on a wood frame and would start to work the hides, us kids who were old enough usually 5-12yrs old were given these hand axe like rocks with a slightly better than dull edge to clean most of the hide (the rocks were fat on one end with a crescent moon edge on the other). We would remove most of the fat/meat leftover. Then the adults my sisters, aunties and my kokum (grandma in cree) would finish it with skinning knives. We would then either make them into moccasins, jackets, dream catchers, etc. (I had a rifle bag made for myself a few years ago). However Most of the time we would dry them and my family made/ still makes traditional Cree drums. I just wanted share my personal anecdote with you and say thank you for all your hard work in these videos

@@HedonisticPuritan-mp6xv I’m very lucky my band (tribe) is very active in keeping our history language and culture alive, many things in @North02 videos resonate with me. Like in this video the part about the Owls being a sign of death. I was told as a child If an owl is looking into your home someone in your home is going to die soon; and the part about the many rules in indigenous cultures. We have many rules like that for example being in northern Canada we see the northern lights often and we have many rules and traditions surrounding them such as you are not allowed to point at them and that they are our ancestors spirits tea dancing and if they are over your house a medicine man will need to come to your house to burn sweet grass.

The San "bushmen " practice a chanting and dancing ritual in which they (that is, all, but especially the Shaman) can enter an altered state of consciousness characterised by flashes of bodily pain, which they think of as giving them supernatural "power", as they call it, that they can then use to heal their people. It's notable that during these experiences they adopt a posture in which they are bent forward with their arms stretched out backwards, just like the "Wounded Man" depictions in the ancient cave art. It's very moving to see.

I can’t say enough how much I appreciate you gathering and presenting this information in such a professional way. I don’t know if I speak for everyone, but I would be interested in an in depth video about flint knapping. Maybe including some defining characteristics of different traditions throughout history.

Love the channel! It was a beautiful episode! I'm a descendant of the Magdalenian hunter gatherers, so keenly looking forward to that episode. Here are some mammoths 🦣🦣🦣

Mammoth me!! Dude you make the best videos - I appreciate you taking on topics not often covered. Your enthusiasm is sincere. You language is purposeful and concise. You present your information with a cadence that is calming, as if you these lessons should be soothing to the soul I often put your videos on when I’m stressed out- not tired but need to sleep. You project a level of I select that isn’t intrusive or offense to my intellectual needs. You take on topics that are transferable and necessarily across languages and cultures You should get your videos translated I do think you should only use subtitles for artistic reasons - your voice is part of the content you create 😊
