you NEVER have to justify river removal if you are gay - i do it all the time. i plan to unite all of the 50 united states into one mega state by removing a ton of rivers and blurring the state lines. i will bring about peace and/or war by creating the monolithe state

Instead of bullying the hell out of Hamlet, try socializing the hell out of him. From what I can tell, Animal Crossing tries to move Villagers out depending on how much you're with them. That would explain why people's favorite villagers constantly volunteer to move.

There's been a few comments really digging into the fact that I am just bullying Hamlet because he is an 'ugly villager'. I'm going to make clear that we played this stream up extremely, I don't hate hamlet. I am just not particularly fond of the jock personality. My favourite villager so far is a 'ugly villager' by peoples standards and that is Charlise because sometimes you just find your favourite villager purely by coincidence with the way they treat you at the right moment.
