I was a long time Landie owner and enthusiast, I literally grew up in Patagonia looking at that metal dashboard and Lucas wiper washer motors... In my mind, memories and dreams wherever there was adventure and fishing trips, a Landie was also involved, NO doubt about it, BUT after the "new Defender" debacle (which introduced the "Pretender") I completely lost interest in Land Rover, and will certainly move to Toyota 70-Series (they always built the better 4x4`s anyway) This said, I must also declare that my interest in classic Landies remains untouched, and that (finances permitting it) I would love to get a Series I or a Series II 88`hardtop (as much as I would like a WWII Jeep, or a CJ2a Jeep with farming equipment). The electric Landie shown in this fair is also a very interesting alternative! perhaps a good compromise in terms of what environmental issues demand of us now.

Whoever is responsible for that poor defender dressed up as ecto 1 needs their head examined. Deeply tragic.
