The "spices" were and still can be considered natural medicines. Spices often kill micro organisms in the food and water.

I study Bacon from his own cryptography, with key information derived directly from him and published after his "death." Not well known of Bacon concerns his extraordinary talents in art and navigation. His experience of spying for the crown led to his adoption of aliases/masks in order to accomplish his goals for a better world. He and his brother, Anthony, even developed a correspondence between aliases from their teen years on. They also had governmental, educational institutions, and church records altered to include the aliases. Queen Elizabeth I helped their efforts by proclaiming that the churches could not have a LIST of birth records but must have a single page for each entry. There is a lot more to Bacon, his identities, his abilities, and his birthright (mother was Not Elizabeth but Mary Queen of Scots, and his father was Francis II of France, who died shortly before he was born.)

Why do you have "death" in quotations? Is he immortal?

@@Tyrannosaurus_5000 No he's not immortal, but the date of his "death" is highly disputed, he probably carried on producing literature under a new identity and pen name.

Have you looked into the 1st edition copies of Atlantis which has a a very symbolic set of images created with a woodblock print, and there was a cook book which was released in the same month and bears the identical print. Apparently it's impossible to get hold of according to M.P. Hall, but Manly Hall and many others said it's got Bacon Cryptology written all over it, the cook book pages will contain the coded messages and the New Atlantis 1st editions only are the key, well so a few people say, i personally have no clue, love to know if you've looked into it.
