A couple days ago, breaking benjamin released their album "Dark Before Dawn" a week early to iTunes radio for streaming. After listening to it all the way through I fell in love with the entire album. But one song stuck out to me a bit more than the others, and that was "The Great Divide". I loved it and thought it would make a great song for an acoustic version, so I immediately started learning it and putting together the cover. It took about a day or so, but here it is! I hope you guys like it.
I listened closely to the song, arranged this myself and took an educated guess on what the extra/lead guitar parts were outside of the chords. I tuned my guitar to Eb Standard and from there used C#m, C#m7, Bsus4, Asus2, and a normal E chord. At 2:35 it goes C, D/F#, E on the left panned guitar, and C, Dadd9(add4), E on the right panned guitar. Finally at 3:10 I play pretty much the same thing as the normal chorus but instead of a full E chord I play an E5 with the b and high e strings left open.
Let me know what you think. Like, comment, favorite, subscribe whatever!
