I think you can only call Bites The Dust a Requiem Stand if you assume that Araki wanted to retcon it. Because as of DiU, Requiem Stands didn't exist yet because Araki hadn't written them in. IMO, Bites the Dust is best seen as a writer's prototype of Requiem Stands, which Araki would later refine into the concept we see at the end of Part 5. In conclusion: not a Requiem Stand, but kinda similar. Bites The Dust is just a new ability that Killer Queen has that is reminiscent (or, should I say, prescient) of what Requiem Stands would be. Also, Star Platinum absolutely has a penis.

Somewhere I read online (reddit I think) I saw a post about the stand arrows being different types of arrows a normal arrow and a requiem. that would also explain the reason why Giorno didn't gain a requiem stand from Polpo's stand when he stabbed golden experience with the arrow. The 2 types of arrows are the requiem Beatle arrow and a normal stand arrow. Kira got stabbed a second time by the normal stand arrow so all it did was give him a new ability rather then a requiem stand. Thats the theory I've been going by anyways.

1.- KQ is not a requiem stand, it got a new ability/sub stand. The stand arrow pierced kira and not KQ 2.- with the "it doesn't matter if it pierces user or stand" argument, stand arrows are one of the only objects seen to be interacting with a stand, a stand could grab or punch an object, but if someone tries to do something with an object to a stand, it doesn't affect it, the arrow is the exception 3.- KQ didn't pass through a transformation

Bites the Dust is a requiem stand. For one, there is no evidence suggesting that the Requiem arrow is the only one that can create Requiem Stands, that's exclusively headcannon. Second, Bites the Dust corresponds exactly to the needs of Kira at the moment, erasing anyone who learned of his identity. Third, there shouldn't be a distinction whether your Stand or yourself gets pierced by the arrow, because *all damage done to a Stand reflects to the user.* Fourthly, Edgeworth in this video says that if Bites the Dust was requiem, everyone in part 4 would've died, forgetting that at least in an alternative timeline everyone *did* die, and it is only because of Kira's paranoid insecurity that it was undone. Remember, stands are a new phenomenon even in-universe, the laws established by Joseph in part 3 don't always work because he doesn't know how stands work exactly, and because they're different and distinct instances of power in each occasion. Also, Polnareff is the one who named Requiem, and Polnareff had no communication with Jotaro for the longest time; if they had spoken, Polnareff would've most likely noticed the similarities between Kira's Bites the Dust and his own Stand's transformation.
